MAH MBA CET 2026 seat allotment

MAH MBA CET seat allotment 2026 process has stared from today with the release of CAP Round I seat allotment list. The Maharashtra State CET cell will soon release the cut offs for Round I too. Candidates who have been allotted a seat in CAP Round I, can confirm their seat online via login and visit the college to complete admission between August 3 to 5, 2026. Display of Provisional Vacant Seats for CAP Round II will be done on August 6, and Round II allotment will be announced on August 12.

MAH CET 2026 exam has been conducted this year in two phases and candidates had the option to appear for the exam twice. Those who have taken both attempts can use best of both scores for MAH CET seat allotment. Minimum score requirement to participate in CAP is more than 0, but seat allotment is done on the basis of cut off scores.

MAH MBA CET 2026 Seat Allotment

MAH MBA CET seat allotment will be done round wise during the Centralised Admission Process or CAP. Candidates will be allotted seats basis the following:

  • Choice of college
  • MAH CET 2026 score
  • MAH CET cut off for MBA of the college
  • Candidate’s category
  • Number of seats available (category wise)

How to Confirm Seat?

Once the seat has been allotted to MAH CET qualifying candidate, they are required to login in to the portal to confirm acceptance. If they do not get their preferred college, they can lock the option with ‘freeze’ option and wait for the next round of seat allotment. If they accept the seat, they cannot participate in the subsequent rounds of seat allotment. After online confirmation, candidates will have to visit the college and complete admission formalities.

MAH MBA CET 2026 Merit List

MAH MBA CET 2026 merit list will be released upto four rounds in two categories – All India and Maharashtra State. The merit list will contain college wise MAH CET cut off score at which seat allotment is done for MBA or MMS course.

MAH CET 2026 Counselling Registration

For participating in MAH CET 2026 seat allotment round, candidates had to fill the counselling registration form. MBA CET 2026 counselling registration was an online process in which candidates had to mention their preferred college. The number of colleges they could choose in maximum 300.

Q:   What is the MAH MBA CET 2026 exam date?
A: 

MAH MBA CET 2026 was conducted on April 6, 7 and 8, 2026 and May 9, 2026. This year, the exam was conducted in 2 phases. Candidates could choose to appear for one or both attempts. Fee was to be paid per attempt. If a candidate attempted both sessions, best of the two percentiles will be considered for admission.

Q:   What is MAH CET score normalization process?
A: 

MAH CET score normalization process is undertaken to ensure that all candidates are judged on the same plane. This is done because MAH MBA CET is a multi-session exam and it may be possible that one session can be slighter easier or tougher than another. 

MAH CET score normalization ensures that no candidate has an advantage or disadvantage over another due to differences in difficulty level of their exam session. So, before the preparation of the MBA CET result and merit list, the Maharashtra CET normalizes the exam scores. Percentile scores are scores based on the relative performance of all candidates who appear for MAH CET. Basically, the marks obtained by every candidate are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session.

Q:   How will I know about my MAH CET MBA test center?
A: 

The address of MAH MBA CET test centre will be mentioned on the admit card. The candidates will get to know of their test centre only after downloading the MAH CET admit card. Once they know the address, they should check the distance and time taken from their home to the centre. This is important as candidates have to reach their MAH CET test centre as per the reporting time mentioned in their admit card. For both shifts of MAH CET, the reporting time in 1 hour before the commencement of the exam.

Candidates must note that there is no provision to change the test centre after the admit card has been released. They should visit the MAH CET test centre a day before the exam to check traveling options, etc.

Q:   How many MBA CET CAP rounds are there?
A: 

There are usually 3 CAP rounds for MBA admission through MAH CET. The MBA CAP rounds are conducted within a gap of a week and include the following:

·       Announcement of provisional merit list basis CAP form registration

·       Submission of grievances (if any) along with required documents at the Facilitation Centre

·      Announcement of final merit list

·       Reporting at the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) for verification of documents and confirmation of admission.

·       Visiting the college office for admission

Seat allotment will be done under two categories – Maharashtra State and All India. Candidates applying under All India category can use CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA scores. Such candidates had to pay registration fee of INR 1500 (or Reserved category candidates, the fee is INR 1300).

Q:   If I get a seat in MBA CET CAP round I, will I be allowed to wait for CAP round 2?
A: 

If you are selected for admission in the MAH CET CAP round I but if it is not your first preference and you do not accept the offer, then you can wait for round 2 merit list release. You can choose the option 'float' in the form to let go the offer and wait for round 2. If you're allotted a seat in the college of your first preference in Round I or if you accept the seat, you will not be eligible for subsequent rounds of CAP process.

Q:   What is the qualifying marks for MAH MBA CET exam?
A: 

There is no minimum qualifying marks for MAH MBA CET exam. Candidate scoring above 0 is eligible for MBA admission. However, the selection will be based on MAH CET cut offs.

Q:   How many times can I give MAH CET in a year?
A: 

MAH MBA CET is an annual exam. So far candidates were able to appear for it only once. However, from 2026, the examination body is offering 2 attempts to candidates in the same academic session to improve score.

Q:   What is the validity of MAH MBA CET 2026 score?
A: 

MAH MBA CET 2026 score will be valid for one year only, i. e. it can be used for admission to the 2026 academic session only. If a candidate plans to drop admission this year, they will have to appear for the exam again next year.

Logical Reasoning section has 75 questions which are usually moderate but there can be a few questions that can challenge your skills. They can be confusing or time taking. Abstract Reasoning questions are easy, so candidates must target all 25 of them.

MAH CET MBA is a moderately difficult exam, but because it is Reasoning heavy, you will need about 6 months to prepare for it. A lot of practice will be required to master each topic, which is why you should start preparation about 6 months in advance.

Any candidate who has qualified MBA CET 2026 exam can participate in the CAP round 2026.  There is also an option to participate in CAP round through CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA scores under All India category.
