Telangana State Council of Higher Education conducted the first session of TS ICET 2021 from 10 AM to 12:30 PM on August 19. As the first session of the TS ICET 2021 exam is over, Shiksha.com got in touch with some of the test takers. Here is a detailed TS ICET 2021 exam analysis and student reaction.
As per the test takers of the August 19 Forenoon shift, the computer-based test was conducted smoothly with all the COVID-19 related precautionary measures. Social distancing and other precautionary measures were maintained inside the exam centre. Most candidates found the exam moderate to tough with Mathematical Ability on the tougher side. However, there were no surprise elements and the test takers were able to complete the exam on time.

The arrangement was made to avoid interaction with other test takers owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Candidates were told to sanitise their hands and wear the masks properly before they entered the examination centre. Candidates were able to attempt 150+ questions easily. Most test-takers found the exam moderate to tough, while some found the exam on the easier lines. Some students found the user interface of the TS ICET irritating as it required extensive scrolling to read one question, this was time-consuming and increased the exam anxiety.

- The overall paper of the TS ICET 2021 exam was moderate to easy
- The Mathematical Ability section was the toughest of all the sections followed by the Analytical Ability
- The Communication Ability section of TS ICET was the easiest and scoring
- An attempt of 130-180 questions is considered good
- Percentages, Distance and Time had the most weightage in the Mathematical Ability
- Most questions in the Analytical Ability were asked from coding-decoding and data analysis
- The Communication Ability section had at least 10 marks from synonyms
- A bad user interface made the exam time consuming

What Next?
After taking the TS ICET 2021 exam, the test takers are eagerly waiting for the TS ICET answer key to release. TSCHE has scheduled the release of the TS ICET provisional answer key and TS ICET response sheet on August 27. The test-takers will be allowed to raise objections against the answer key until August 31.
