TS ICET exam pattern 2026 is released with the exam notification on the official website, icet.tgche.ac.in. Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) prescribes TG ICET 2026 exam pattern. Candidates appearing for the TG ICET 2026 exam must have a good understanding of test structure before they start TS ICET preparation. According to the TS ICET exam pattern, candidates have to answer a total of 200 MCQs from three different sections within a 150-minute exam duration. TS ICET exam is held as Computer-Based Test (CBT).

Yes, it is mandatory to attempt the Mathematical Ability section of the TG ICET exam as it not an optional section. However, it is not mandatory to answer every single question or section to submit the paper.
The TG ICET exam consists of 200 questions with one mark each. These 200 questions are divided across three sections, namely Analytical Ability with 75 questions, Mathematical Ability with 75 questions, and Communication Ability with 50 questions.
TG ICET exam has a duration fo 150 minutes. Candidates have to answer 200 questions within 150 minutes. There is no sectional time limit in TS ICET exam.

TGCHE calculates the performance of all test takers using the following TS ICET marking scheme:
- +1 marks are awarded for each correct response.
- No negative marking for incorrect responses marked in ICET exam

The Communication Ability section of the TSICET exam has four sub-sections. These sub-sections compile to fetch 50 questions. The division of topics with weightage under the Communication Ability is as follows:
- Vocabulary: 10
- Business and Computer Terminology: 10
- Functional Grammar: 15
- Reading Comprehension: 15
With respect to the question weight, 60 per cent of the questions in the Communication Ability section are based on Functional Grammar and Reading Comprehension. While the remaining 40 per cent is fetched by questions on Vocabulary and Business and Computer Terminology.
The time needed to prepare for the TS ICET exam depends on how familiar someone is with the syllabus. If a person is starting from zero, about 5 to 6 months of regular preparation will be needed. This provides enough time to cover all sections, practice questions, and revise properly. Those having basic understanding of the topics or have prepared for similar exams before, 2 to 3 months are enough for ICET preparation
