Besides calculators, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, and similar gadgets are also prohibited to be carried inside the exam centre.

Since there is no negative marking, candidates must attempt all questions. In the speed-based test, one must aim to answer the questions as soon as possible. Coming to TSICET, a test taker has to answer each question in less than 45 seconds to complete the exam on time. To score high in TSICET candidates will have to work on their speed as well as accuracy. Speed and accuracy can be improved by practising previous years papers and mock tests. While answering questions, candidates must not stick on one question for more than 40 seconds. After answering all the questions in 40 seconds or less, candidates will still have five to ten minutes to review the responses.
