TG ICET 2025 Paper Analysis & Difficulty Level

TS ICET 2025 Exam Analysis: Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has successfully conducted three shifts of Telangana ICET 2025 exam. The last shift of the TG ICET exam will conclude today at 5 PM. On the first day of the TG ICET 2025 exam, candidates found the difficulty level to be moderate across both shifts. Similar to the past exam sessions, candidates found the overall online exam experience laggy due to test software issues. To read one question, candidates had to go through multiple scrolls on the system, which felt time-consuming. Candidates appearing in the upcoming exam shifts must access the TS ICET mock test available on the website to familiarise themselves with the test software used by TGCHE.

Q:   Which section is the easiest in TSICET exam?
A:
The Communication Ability section of the TSICET exam is considered the easiest section among all the sections. Telangana ICET has questions from three sections, namely Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability, and Communication Ability. Besides the difficulty standards, TSICET exam's Communication Ability section has the least questions, that is 50 questions. The Communication Ability section is further divided into four sub-sections, which include 1) Vocabulary 2) Business and Computer Terminology 3) Functional Grammar 4) Reading Comprehension.

TS ICET 2025 Day 1 Exam Analysis

The TS ICET 2025 exam was on first day was reported to be easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. Among the sections, candidates found the Mathematical Ability portion to be the most challenging, followed by the Communication Ability section. The section wise difficulty level was similar across both the shifts of the exam day. Candidates found the Analytical Ability section to be the easiest, yet the Data Sufficiency questions were time consuming. Certain parts of the TG ICET Analytical Ability section were tricky and time-consuming.

Arrangement-based questions, especially the two circular and one linear seating problems, required attentive understanding. These questions were prone to errors if solved in a hurry. Candidates found the coding-decoding questions to be relatively easier and focused mainly on letter patterns.

Two direction sense questions were straightforward. Candidates found the blood relations question lengthy, requiring more time just to understand the relationships. Some candidates reported Data Sufficiency section to be time consuming with some questions consuming over five minutes. Several test takers also pointed out issues with the exam's user interface.

Candidates who attempted over 140 questions with accuracy are expected to score well in the TG ICET 2025 exam. Solving previous years' questions papers and good time management while solving the questions had helped candidates to give a good attempt at TS ICET.

Q:   Which section of the TG ICET exam is the toughest?
A:

In the Telangana ICET exam, the Mathematical Ability section is usually considered the toughest among all three sections. This section typically includes the questions that are not only conceptually challenging but are time consuming. With TS ICET exam being a time sensitive exam having less than 1 minute for each question, solving Mathematical Ability section becomes difficult. The time management typically raises the difficulty bar for the Mathematical Ability section.

The difficulty level of a section can also vary for individuals based on their preparation and conceptual understanding of a concept. A candidate may find Communication Ability to be difficult, if he/she doesn't have a good hold on the language.

Q:   How does the normalisation formula adjust for different difficulty levels across different exam shifts in TG ICET?
A:

TG ICET normalisation formula takes into account the average scores and standard deviations of each shift and compares them with the overall values across all sessions. TSICET normalisation formula also considers the average marks of the top 0.1 per cent of candidates from all shifts individually and combined. Using these values, a normalised score is calculated after adjusting the raw marks of each candidate.

TS ICET normalisation process ensures that a candidate who took the exam in a difficult exam shift is not disadvantaged while being evaluated.

Q:   What is the rank for 150+ marks in TS ICET exam?
A:

TS ICET rank based on marks may change year to year depending on several factors. These factors include the number of candidates who took the exam, number of qualified candidates, difficulty standards of the TS ICET exam and more. For instance in the past session, TS ICET 2022 the rank 1 holder secured 170+ marks, whereas, in TS ICET 2021, the top 1 rank holder secured 155+ marks. Candidates securing 150+ marks can expect their rank to be within the top 20. TSCHE releases the TS ICET rankers list for top 20 rank holders along with the results.

    • Problem Solving had 55 questions with questions from series completion, odd one out, analogy, missing numbers, and coding-decoding.

  • Data Interpretation part had two sets with five questions each.

  • Topics with high weightage included Pie charts in data analysis, time, date, and arrangement questions.

  • The section was found to be time-consuming, primarily because of data analysis and series completion questions.

Mathematical Ability

Candidates found the exam to be lengthy, with some candidates unable to answer 40-50 out of 75 questions due to time constraints. Mathematical Ability is divided into three sub sections. Detailed analysis for the same is as follows:

  • Arithmetic Ability had 35 questions

    • Candidates found number system had high weightage.

    • Some key topics in the section included indices and surds, ratio & proportions, simplification, CP & SP, mensuration, TSD and time and work.

  • Algebraic & Geometric Ability had 30 questions

    • Topics with high question weightage included polynomials, trigonometry, APs & GPs, lines & angles, quadrilaterals, circles, and coordinate geometry.

    • Candidates also found questions on height and distance, requiring trigonometry.

  • Statistical Ability had 10 questions

    • These questions were based on mean, median, mode, and basic probability.

    • Statistical Ability part under Mathematical Ability section was considered the easiest.

Communication Ability

  • High weightage topics included Synonyms and Antonyms, Verbs, Computer and Business Terminology, and Reading Passages.

  • Candidates found three passages with five followup questions each. Almost all candidates reported that RC passages were easy to comprehend.

  • Candidates reported that some questions were repeated from the previous exam sessions.
  • Candidates were able to answer more than 30 questions in the section with high accuracy.
