A: An MD's salary is generally higher than an MBBS doctor's salary because MD is a PG . An MBBS doctor earn an average of ₹6–10 LPA, however, an MD doctor earns with average of ₹10–25 LPA. Factors affecting salary is experience, education, location, etc.

A. In India, doctors with MD course cannot perform surgery. For that, they must pursue surgical practice.
