Q:   Which part is difficult in NEET PG syllabus?
A:

As such no section is easy in NEET PG syllabus. Some candidates may find clinical section easy while others may perceive para clinical as difficult. In reality, all the three sections clinical pre and para clinical are equally difficult and candidates have to devote good amount of time to prepare in and out of every subjects. It must be noted, a good number of questions are clinical based, so this section holds huge importance.

Some topics of pre and para clinical are utmost important as lots of questions are from them. Point is candidates should prepare all three sections in such manner so that 90 percent questions can be answered easily. Last year, clinical section was difficult in comparision to other two sections.

Q:   How difficult is the NEET PG?
A:

NEET PG is a higher-level exam with a high level of competition. The NEET PG exam syllabus is extensive and covers all 19 subjects that a medico studies during the MBBS. The student's preparation time is also limited, and they must balance coursework and an internship.

This leaves little to no time to prepare for the NEET PG. A student works an internship at a hospital before the NEET PG exam, and the shifts are unpredictable. A lack of preparation time combined with intense competition makes NEET PG a difficult nut to crack. At the same time, it is not impossible task to score well in the exam. Candidates only need proper preparation, planning, and consistent efforts. What matters is that you believe in yourself and work towards your goal.

Candidates must try practise those topics first which have more weightage in NEET PG exam. Though NBE has not released subjectwise weightage for NEET PG 2026, candidates can refer to the previous years' record regarding subjectwise weightage of marks. A good number of questions are asked from pathology, pharmacology, and microbiology. Candidates need to prepare these topics well so that they could answer every question correctly from these topics.

Regular practice of mock test

NEET PG mock test is like a practice match before the actual game. It is just the replica of the actual exam which makes candidates learn all about the NEET PG exam pattern. Appearing in the mock test every now and then helps candidates to check their performance on the basis of their preparation. Candidates expect to devote many hours to crack any competitive exams. This rule applies in NEET exam also. Candidates have to devote serious 5-7 hours daily to prepare the exam throughly. Experts belive candidates should utilize this time with proper planning. They should have strategies in place how to use these hours to cover in and out of every topic of NEET PG syllabus. Some candidates may require more time than daily than others and this may depends on many factors especially where they actually stand before starting preparation.

Q:   Can someone score good rank in NEET PG with self study?
A:

Though it is difficult to score good rank in NEET PG with self study, nonetheless, it is not impossible. What is required is self discipline, honest effort, and good plan & strategy. Such candidates need at least 6-8 months time to prepare for NEET PG. Go through all the topics, focussing on concepts. Finish the whole NEET PG syllabus within first 3 months and then keep 2 months for revision and rest for practice. 

Revision is key. Whatever has been read from the syllabus, that needs to be revised regularly so that it remains in your mind for a longer time. Revising from notes gives you an edge. Make a strategy for the revision, like choose revision of lengthy topic with smaller one or comparatively boring topic with an interesting one. Do take care of the fact that all topics get revised on regular intervals of time.

Check previous year question papers

Solving NEET PG question papers make candidates gain confidence before the exam. Candidates get to know about the type of question being asked in the exam and their difficulty level. Candidates get an idea about the number of questions being asked from any particular topic. Previous year question paper also helps candidates to work on those areas where they lack.

Seek the guidance of seniors/professors to clear doubts

Doubts are something that makes candidates confuse and it needs to do away with as soon as possible. As NEET PG 2026 is one of the toughest exams, candidates should not live with doubt in any topics of NEET PG 2026 syllabus. Colleagues/seniors/professors should be consulted to make you understand the concept and clear doubts.

Be Postitive and Motivated

Candidates should never let the negative thought come into their mind. Never think too about the outcome in the exam. Always think that your preparation is the best.
