FET 2025 exam date was announced by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). The exam will be held on March 14, 2026. FET registration started on January 14, 2026. The last date to complete the FET Application process was February 3, 2026. The FET City Intimation Slip is released on February 26, 2026. Eligible students must use their login credentials to download the city notification slip for the FET 2025 exam

The release date for the FET admit card is March 10, 2026. NBEMS will declare FET results on April 14, 2026

NBE FET 2025 dates include a detailed schedule of all the exam-related events, such as the application process, the release of the admit card, exam date and schedule, and the date for the announcement of the result. Q:   Will FET exam be held in pen and paper mode?
A: 

FET 2025 exam will be conducted in computer-based mode on. The official exam dates are released and according to it exam will be conducted on March 14, 2026. The question paper comprised 100 questions and candidates will be given given 105 minutes to answer them. All the questions are multiple choice type. Negative marking is not there in the exam.

FET stands for Fellowship Entrance Test. The ranking cum examination is conducted by NBE (National Board of Examinations) for admission to various fellowship programmes that are offered by NBE. Basically, it is an entrance exam to get admission into Post Doctoral FNB programme. FET is the only entrance test for admission to Fellow of National Board (FNB) Courses, Fellow of National Board – Post Doctoral (FNB-PD), Fellowship Programme for International Students (FPIS).

The FET 2025 application form was released online. The FET application process comprises the following points.

  • Students must complete their FET registration
  • Students must log in using their user ID and password
  • They must fill in the needed information in the FET form
  • Upload the documents in the right format and size.
  • Select the preferred exam centre and city
  • Pay the form fees to submit it.
  • Take a printout and note the transaction ID printed on it.

Q:   Who are eligible for FET?
A: 

Students must possess a postgraduate medical degree (MD/ MS/ DM/ MCh/ DNB) in relevant specialty from a recognised institute. Those who complete postgraduate degree qualification on or before cut off deadline will be eligible for FET 2025. Candidates must note there is no upper or lower age limit for candidates applying for FET 2025. He/ she must possess a permanent registration certificate from Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.

Aspirants will have to apply online for FET exam. The application form is released on the official website. Candidates will have to register first and fill details in the application form. Paying exam fee is cumpulsory to submit application form for FET. The whole application process for FET has been explained below:

FET 2025 application form- NBE released the FET 2025 application form on its website.

FET 2025 admit card- Admit cards will be issued to students who have successfully applied and fulfill eligibility criteria. The admit card for FET 2025 will be uploaded online. Students have to download the admit card by logging into their accounts.

FET 2025 exam day- NBE will conduct FET 2025 exam on March 14 2026. The examination will be held in online mode.

FET result will have to be downloaded online. Candidates who will score 50 percentile will be declared qualified for admission to fellowship Courses / clubbed group. Those who qualify the exam can download scorecard with user ID and password, which was generated at the time of registration. 

Q:   What is the difference between FET and FNB?
A: 

FET or Fellowship Entrance Test is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination for admission in various fellowship programmes offered under NBE. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) is the authority of conducting FET, which is an entrance exam for admission to a Post-Doctoral FNB programme/course. The exam is conducted anually in computer-based mode.

FET exam pattern is released along with the official information brochure. Yes. There is a provision of negative marking in FET exam. According to exam pattern released in the brochure, 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong response. Students will get 4 marks for every right response.

Q:   What is the specification for the photograph that needs to be pasted on the admit card of FET?
A: 

Candidates need to paste a recent passport-sized photograph on FET admit card. Photograph must have a white background, dimensions 35x45 mm, and with at least 75% coverage of face and head. Students have to login with application ID an dpassword to download admit card for FET.

Q:   I lost my FET admit card. Will NBE send a duplicate through post?
A: 

No, NBE will not send the admit card through the post. However, you can download the admit card again by following the same process as before.

Q:   My photograph was rejected. Will I get my FET admit card?
A: 

No, you will not be issued the admit card for FET exam. Your application form will be rejected due to improper photograph.

Q:   I didn't appear for the examination. Will I be included in the FET result PDF?
A: 

No. FET result includes the roll number of those candidates who had appear for the examination. NBE, the exam conducting body uploads the result online.  It must be noted FET result PDF will be uploaded separately for each speciality.

Q:   When will NBE release FET result?
A: 

NBE will announce FET 2025 results on official website. The results will be uploaded online for each specialty. Candidates have to download the scorecard with login credentials. The result PDF comprised details such as application number, marks scored out of 400, merit postion.

The FET exam consists of 100 MCQs carrying a total of 400 marks. Each correct answer gives 4 marks, and each wrong answer gives -1. The exam timing is 105 minutes and is conducted online. There are two sections in the exam: Part A and Part B.
