JK NEET PG 2025 counselling dates have been released online by Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE). Registration for round-1 counselling began on September 23, 2025. Candidates have to register online and declare preferences of choice for counselling. Registration had to be done on the official website jkbopee.gov.in till September 27, 2025. Registration deadline was further extended from October 22 till October 23, 2025. 

Candidates who qualify NEET PG exam and have domicile of the state are eligible for Jammu and Kashmir PG medical admission. Candidates included in the merit list are eligible to participate in the counselling process for seat allotment.

Jammu and Kashmir NEET PG counselling involves steps such as registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting. Candidates have to declare the choice of college and course online for seat allocation. JKBOPEE will allocate seats based on choice filled, NEET PG rank, availability of seats in institutes, reservation and other factors. A total of 307 MD, 215 MS, and 14 PG Diploma seats will be allocated through the counselling. JK Medical PG Admission Eligibility Criteria

Students need to fulfill certain requirements to get admission through JK NEET PG counselling. List of eligibility criteria for JK medical PG admission has been given below:

  • Students must be a resident of J&K or Ladakh
  • There is no upper age limit for admission
  • Both Indian and non-resident Indians can apply for admission to postgraduate medical courses in Jammu and Kashmir
  • They must possess MBBS/BDS (as the case may be) degree from the University of Jammu/ University of Kashmir recognized by the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India
  • NMC/DCI/SMC/SDC registration is mandatory for NEET-PG/ MDS 2025 qualifying candidates
  • One-year internship in a duly recognised institution must be completed 
  • Candidates should have qualified NEET PG/NEET MDS with the minimum cut off marks

Jammu & Kashmir NEET PG Counselling 2025: The Process

The counselling process involves a series of steps starting with the registration. Candidates must have qualified NEET PG to apply for admission through counselling. The whole process have been explained below:

Registration

Candidates have to apply on the official website and submit application form for seat allotment. Paying registration fee is mandatory to submit the application form for JK medical PG admission.

How to fill application form for J&K NEET PG counselling?

  • Visit the official website jkbopee.gov.in
  • Under section NEET PG/MDS, select ‘Click here to apply’
  • Enter details such as name, contact number, email ID, date of birth etc.
  • A login credential is generated and sent to the registered email ID and mobile number
  • Login with registration credential and enter the personal and academic details
  • Upload documents according to the given format
  • Pay the online application fee, INR 2,000 to complete the application process

State Merit List

After registration, a merit list is released. The merit list includes those candidates whose application is accepted. The merit list for JK NEET PG counselling comprises details such as name of candidate, category, All India Rank in NEET PG exam, scores, state rank etc. Candidates included in the state merit list are provisionally eligible for the JK NEET PG counselling. However, mere inclusion in the merit list doesn’t guarantee for admission in Jammu and Kashmir NEET PG admission.

Choice Filling

Candidates included in the state merit list are asked to fill choices for college and courses in which they want to take admission into. Candidates can declare their preferences for college and course online. Candidates also have to lock the choices in the given deadline. The prefrence of choices can’t be modified once they are locked.

Seat Allotment Result

The counselling authority allots seats based on the choices filled by candidates, NEET PG rank, availability of seats, reservation criteria etc. A separate result is released for each round of counselling. A total of 3 rounds of counselling is held including mop up round for JK NEET PG admission. After seat allotment, candidates will have to report to respective allotted institutes for document verification and to complete other admission formalities.

Following list of documents are needed at the time J&K PG medical admission:

  • Matriculation certificate for date of birth
  • 12th Certificate
  • MBBS degree certificate
  • Marks cards of all the years of MBBS
  • NEET PG/MDS result
  • Registration certificate from MCI or SMC
  • Internship completion certificate
  • Category certificate if applicable
