The GATE COAP 2026 registration link is active for admission to the ME/MTech programmes. The GATE COAP 2026 round 1 window to view offers and make a decision will be opened on May 11, 2026 (10 AM).

- The JEE Advanced 2026 application forms are closed for admission to the BE/BTech course. The JEE Advanced exam 2026 will be conducted on May 17, 2026.
- The JEE Main 2026 session 2 result has been announced on the official website for IIT Hyderabad admission to the BTech, BArch and BPlan courses.
- The UCEED 2026 Round 1 seat allotment result was announced for admission to the BDes course. Candidates who are allotted seats in R1 can exit from the seat allocation process till May 11, 2026 (6 PM). Additionally, the UCEED 2026 Round 2 seat allotment will be announced on May 19, 2026.
- The IIT JAM 2026 counselling registration is now over for admission to the MSc course. Students can submit their choices till May 6, 2026, with the first admission list to be declared tentatively on May 25, 2026.

IIT Hyderabad Student Life and Culture
The student life and culture at IIT Hyderabad are quite vibrant with social activities, fests, clubs, cultural events and workshops.
Annually, Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad conducts its Techno-Cultural fest, namely Elan &nVision. This is the largest college fest in South India. Earlier, popular singers such as Benny Dayal, Shirley Setia, Darshan Raval and comedian- Zakir Khan were actively seen performing with numerous other artists at IITH fests. Cultural Clubs under the Cultural Council include Infocus, Behind the Lens, Vibes, Rang de Manch, Gesture Shuffle, and LitSoc. According to the Shiksha ratings, the students rated IIT Institute Hyderabad 4.3 out of 5 in campus life.
Indian Institute of Technology in Hyderabad also offers its supermarket, 'Sampoorna' where students can buy toiletries, snacks, stationery, fruits and vegetables and all the basic grocery items. The institute provides modern transportation services such as EVs and Buses to the students.
The hostels at Indian Institute Technology Hyderabad are fully furnished with all the basic requirements of students. IIT Hyderabad: How to Reach?
The IIT Hyderabad campus is 35 to 40 km away from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. To reach the campus, students can take taxi or cab from the airport. The campus is located in the Kandi Village of the Sangareddy district and is 30 kilometres or 1-1.5 hours from Hyderabad City. The Hyderabad Deccan Railway Station (Nampally Station) is the closest railway station to IIT Hyderabad and is 30 kilometres away from the IIT campus.

Yes, MSc admission at IIT Hyderabad is open for 2026 via the IIT JAM entrance exam. Candidates with a valid IIT JAM score are only eligible for the JAM counselling rounds for final seat allotment.
