RPF Constable Normalisation

RPF Constable exam is conducted in different shifts, so it employs a normalisation procedure for maintaining fairness during the assessment. The normalisation process controls differing difficulty levels across separate shift timings through standardized mathematical equations. The officials use normalized scores to select candidates who will advance to PET, PMT and Document Verification stages.

According to RPF Constable tie-breaking policy, in case two candidates with same score then preference is given to the older candidate. Additionally, performance in the CBT will also be considered.

The selection process of RPF constable result comprises the following stages:

RPF Constable CBT Result 

RPF constable result for CBT will be released after the online exam for all slots is over. A list of all qualified candidates in CBT is published by the recruitment board. These candidates are eligible for the next stages of recruitment. The marks scored in CBT are counted for the shortlisting of candidates for further stages of recruitment.

RPF Constable PET/PMT Result 

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in CBT shall be called for Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Document Verification (DV) to the extent of 10 times the number of vacancies in each category for Male/Female/Ex-Servicemen as per merit. Ex-servicemen are exempted from PET, however, they will have to undergo PMT.

In case requisite candidates from the above-shortlisted candidates do not qualify in PET/PMT, and there is a shortfall in any category/Group of Male/Female/Ex-Servicemen, additional candidates to the extent of 10 times the shortfall are called for PET/PMT for a second round of PET/PMT as per their merit in CBT. 

RPF Constable DV Result 

Based on the performance of candidates in the CBT and subject to their qualifying in PET & PMT, candidates are considered for Document Verification. Candidates from SC, ST, OBC-NCL & EWS selected purely on merit, without availing any relaxation available to them are counted against UR vacancies. In cases of two or more candidates securing same marks, their merit position is determined by age criteria i.e. older person is given higher seniority.

In case the date of birth also happens to be the same they are placed in ascending alphabetical order (a to z). Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and category certificates, verification of character and antecedents of the candidates from the local Administration and successful completion of initial training.

RPF Constable Medical Result 

After Document Verification, the candidates who got placed in the final result is sent for a medical examination at the Railway Hospitals. They are required to qualify in the medical category. Those wearing glasses or having flat foot, knock knee, squint eyes, colour blindness and other bodily infirmities are not eligible for an appointment. Sending for Medical Examination will not guarantee employment and does not imply that the candidate has been included in the select list.

RPF Constable Final Result 

Candidates qualifying the CBT are required to appear for PET/PMT. PET/PMT is qualifying in nature. Successful candidates will be called for document verification as the final stage of recruitment.

• What is RPF Constable Salary?

RPF Constable cut off is released along with the result. Railway RPF Constable cut off marks are the minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to secure inorder to qualify the exam and become eligible for the next round of selection process. Besides the cut off marks, candidates are required to secure the following qualifying marks.
