AIIMS Delhi allots a 2-hour duration for solving the BSc nursing exam. No extra time will be extended to attempt the paper. It is an online exam, and the exam will be submitted as the 120-minute timer concludes.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, conducts AIIMS BSc (Hons) nursing, BSc (Post-Basic) nursing, and BSc (Paramedical) entrance exams annually to grant admission to all AIIMS campuses offering nursing courses. The entrance exam is generally conducted in the month of May every year. The conducting body uses a two-stage method for registration to the BSc nursing programme. The first is through the PAAR (Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration) system, a new AIIMS method. The second is through basic registration, followed by the Generation of Code and Final Registration. 

Q:   Does the entrance exam for B.Sc (Post-Basic) Nursing and B.Sc (Hons.) held separately?

Yes, AIIMS conducts both exams separately. Both the exams are generally conducted in a single day and in a single slot window. The registration for both the exam are open and available at the official website, ugcourses.aiimsexams.ac.in, by AIIMS Delhi. The application process for both the exam is same however as per the exam schedule shared by AIIMS Delhi, both the exams will be conducted on separate days.

The AIIMS Nursing score is calculated based on the performance of the candidate in four section asked in the exam namely, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and General Knowledge. In the AIIMS BSc Nursing (Post-Basic) exam, the performance of the candidates is judged on the basis of subjects such as Fundamentals of Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Physiology and Pharmacology, Obstetrics Nursing and Midwifery, Community Health Nursing, and some latest Trends in Nursing.

Post Basic BSc Nursing: Eligibility, Scope, Salary

Post basic BSc nursing course is for those who want to have equivalent BSc degree in Nursing. After 3-year GNM, students usually do post basic BSc Nursing so that they will be counted equivalent to BSc graduates in nursing. Those who want to convert diploma into undergraduate degree prefer post basic nursing course.

IIMS MSc Nursing 2025 test centres are decided by the exam conducting body, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. The list of AIIMS MSc. Nursing test centres are released by the AIIMS Delhi at the official website.
