JENPAS UG 2025 syllabus helps candidates prepare for the Nursing, Paramedical, and Allied Sciences Undergraduate course entrance exam.  The JENPAS UG exam syllabus enlists all major topics from the exam perspective. JENPAS UG syllabus carries two papers. In Paper I, subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Basic English, and Logical Reasoning are given. In paper II, subjects such as Physical Science, Mathematics, General Knowledge, Basic English, and Logical Reasoning test the aptitude of the candidates.

Q:   Can I get the JENPAS UG syllabus in Bengali?
A: 

The JENPAS UG syllabus is not made available in Bengali by the exam conducting body, WBJEE. Candidates can download the information brochure which is published on the official website,  wbjeeb.nic.in. Although the question paper will carry questions in both languages, English and Bengali. However, the detailed syllabus and topics will be provided in English medium only.  

Q:   Has there been any changes in JENPAS UG Syllabus?
A: 

The JENPAS UG 2025 syllabus was released by WBJEEB along with the information bulletin for the exam. No changes were introduced in the JENPAS UG syllabus 2025. In the past few years, the JENPAS UG syllabus has remained unchanged. Once WBJEE released the syllabus officially through the information bulletin. In case of any changes, it will be informed via official notification. The exam is conducted on the basis of Class 11 and Class 12 exam syllabi for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects.

Q:   When will JENPAS UG exam be conducted?
A: 

JENPAS UG 2026 exam will be held in May 2026, tentatively. The official date has not been released by WBJEEB on the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in. Last year, the exam got delayed and was organised in October. 

Q:   Who prepares the syllabus of JENPAS UG exam?
A: 

The official exam conducting body, West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB), prepares and sets the syllabus of JENPAS UG entrance exam. The state-level entrance exam is conducted for screening candidates for admission to BSc-Nursing, BPT, BMLT, BSc-CCT, BSc-OTT, BSc-PT, BSc-PA, B.Sc. MMB, B.V.S.O, BHA courses.  The Paper-I (for all courses) will be based on 11th and 12th standard syllabi and curriculum of the recognised Board/Councils in India. However, the Paper-II (for BHA) will test candidates based on the content of Physical Science and Mathematics. The questions will be based on 10th standard syllabi of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and other equivalent and recognised Boards/Councils in India and the content of General Knowledge, Basic English and Logical reasoning will be equivalent to 12th standard curriculum.

About JENPAS UG 2025 Syllabus

As per the recommendation by WBJEE, in the JENPAS UG 2025  exam, for Paper I, the topics and syllabus will be based on Class 11 and 12 standard syllabi and curriculum of the recognized board/council of India. For Paper II the content of physics, science, and mathematics will be based on the  syllabi of class 10 standard of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and other equivalent recognized boards/councils of India. The content of General Knowledge, Basic English, and local reasoning will be equivalent to the 12 standard curriculum.

Q:   Is JENPAS UG an easy or difficult entrance exam?
A: 

JENPAS UG is an offline (Pen & Paper Mode) entrance exam conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). As per the exam analysis conducted for the previous year exams, it is a moderately difficult exam. A good preparation strategy will help candidates appear for the exam without much difficulty. JENPAS UG is conducted for the duration of 1.5 hours each for 2 papers (each carries 50 questions). Candidates need to answer Multiple Choice Questions and the medium of the exam is both in English and Bengali language. 

Q:   Is JENPAS UG an online exam or offline exam?
A: 

JENPAS UG is an offline exam that carries Multiple Choice Questions (Objective-type), in which four options are provided in each question. The question paper is provided in both English and Bengali. Candidates are given 90 minutes to solve the paper. Each candidate gets 2 marks correct answer, and for each wrong answer, 0.5 marks will be deducted. 

Q:   Is there any negative marking in JENPAS UG exam?
A: 

No, there is no negative marking in JENPAS UG exam for category-II questions. In both paper I and paper II, there will be two categories of questions in the exam. The category-II questions will not attract any negative marking for the candidates. Salient features of category-II questions are: Candidates is free to choose one/more options. Not attempting the questions will lead to 0 marks. However, for Category I questions, - ¼ (25% negative) marks will be deducted for choosing incorrect options.

JENPAS UG 2025 Exam Pattern

JENPAS UG 2025 aspirants will have to appear for two papers on the same day, Paper I and Paper II. Paper II is conducted for admission to the BHA programme. A candidate can choose to apply for both papers during the application process.

Q:   Who can apply for JENPAS UG exam?
A: 

A candidate must be a citizen of India. The applicant must be domiciled in the state of West Bengal. The candidate must have passed or must be appearing for 10+2/class 12 in system only in 2026. The applicant's age must be 17 years as on 31.12.2026. The applicant should have been born on or before 31/12/2009. Only female candidates are eligible to apply for the BSc nursing course in both government colleges. 

Q:   What subjects are included in JENPAS UG syllabus?

There are two papers which are conducted on the same day, Paper I and Paper II. Subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Basic English, and Logical Reasoning are asked in the JENPAS UG syllabus. There are a total of 100 questions carrying 115 marks overall in the paper I. The expected JENPAS UG cutoff 2026 will be known after the conduct of the exam. The exam difficulty level will determine the expected cut off marks. The WBJEEB will release the official JENPAS UG cut off along with the results.

The WBJEEB will announce the JENPAS UG result 2026 within a month of the exam. The JENPAS UG exam results will be published as merit list or rank card containing the ranks and scores of qualified candidates.

The WBJEEB will issue the JENPAS UG 2026 admit card around a week before the exam. The admit card download link will remain active till the exam date. Candidates must download the hall ticket to know the details of the allotted exam centre.

The JENPAS UG admit card mentions the test centre location. Once it is issued, it cannot be changed by the authorities unless there is a change in the decision of the conducting body due to some unforeseen circumstances.
