In 2020-21, total 50 lakh application forms were received by IBPS for its various exams. The number is less compared to last year. In 2019-20, total 1.45 crore application forms were received for various IBPS exams.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has said that in 2020-21 it had received 50 lakh applications for various exams. The number is quite less compared to 2019-20. The number of applications received for various exams by the institute in 2019-20 were 1.45 crore.

IBPS has said that the number is low because the examinations were conducted only from September 12, 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Exam-Wise Details Regarding the Number of Registered and Appeared Candidates

IBPS PO: This exam is conducted for recruitment to the post of Probationary Officers. In 2020-21, total 6.78 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam. However in 2019-20, total 8.25 lakh application forms were received. This shows that there is a dip of 17 per cent in registration. The number of candidates appeared for the exam in 2020-21 was 4.75 lakh while it was 5.76 lakh in 2019-20. Read More

IBPS Clerk: The institute conducts IBPS Clerk exam for recruitment to the post of Clerical cadre in 11 participating banks. In 2020-21, total 7.41 lakh application forms were received while it was 9.91 lakh in 2019-20. The number of candidates appeared for the exam in 2020-21 was 5.08 while it was 6.65 in 2019-20. This shows there is a dip of 25 per cent in registration and 23 per cent in number of candidates appeared for the exam.

IBPS SO: IBPS SO exam is conducted for recruitment to the posts of Specialist Officers such as Agriculture Field Officer, Marketing Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, IT Officer, Law Officer, and Rajbhasha Adhikari. In 2020-21, 1.06 lakh candidates had registered for the exam while it was 1.6 in 2019-20. There is a dip of 33% in registration. In 2020-21, 0.85 lakh candidates appeared for the exam while it was 1.23 lakh in 2019-20. There is a dip of 30% in the number of candidates appeared for the exam.

IBPS RRB: The institute conducts IBPS RRB exam for recruitment to the post of Officers Scale I, II and III. In 2020-21, total 7.06 lakh candidates had registered for Office Assistant while 5.95 lakh candidates had registered for Officers. In 2019-20, total 7.13 lakh candidates had registered for Office Assistant post while 5.39 lakh candidates had registered for Officers post. In 2020-21, total 4.6 lakh candidates had appeared for Office Assistants exam while 4.07 lakh candidates had appeared for Officers exam. In 2019-21, total 4.89 lakh candidates had appeared for Office Assistants while 4.09 lakh candidates had appeared for Officers post.

IBPS conducts exams for selecting bank officers, clerks, and specialist officers through IBPS PO, IBPS clerk, IBPS SO exams, respectively. It also conducts exams for the Regional Rural Banks which is known as the IBPS RRB exam.

There is no facility to recheck IBPS RRB result. The same announced by the examination authority is considered as final. The result is announced online. Candidates can check their results by logging with the required credentials.
