IBPS PO Exam 2025: The Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection released the prelims exam scorecard on October 6, 2025. All those candidates who appeared in the exam can download their IBPS PO Prelims scorecard 2025 at ibps.in or via direct link provided below. The scorecard consists of the total and section-wise marks of candidates whether qualified or not. Candidates can access their scorecard via using the registration number or roll number and password or date of birth. The date of the closure of the result is October 12, 2025. The IBPS PO main admit card 2025 was released on October 1. The candidates can download their admit card from ibps.in. The candidates should note that the IBPS Main exam 2025 will be conducted on October 12, 2025. The candidates need to login with their registration/roll number to download their admit card. 

The IBPS PO prelims result 2025 was released on September 26. The prelims exam was conducted on August 23 and 24 at various centres across the country. The detailed IBPS PO 2025 Exam Analysis Shift-Wise based on the students' feedback is also provided below. The IBPS PO Mains exam will be conducted on October 12, 2025. 

There are 5,208 IBPS PO vacancies notified for the IBPS PO 2025. The exam is conducted for the selection of candidates for 11 public sector banks. The marking scheme of IBPS PO is given below:

  • Candidates are awarded one mark for correct answers
  • 0.25 marks are deducted for wrong answers
  • The total marks are calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect answers

Normalisation of IBPS PO Marks

IBPS calculates the IBPS PO marks of the candidates through a method called normalisation that help candidates to get a rounded-up figure. Since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts and days the difficulty level of the question paper varies from one shift to another. Normalisation of scores is done to balance and assist in the fair evaluation. This method is followed both for prelims and Mains exams. Some of the benefits of normalisation are given below: The first assumption made for normalisation of marks is that the candidates across all the shifts of the exam have similar abilities The number of candidates appearing in the exam conducted by IBPS in large shifts is randomly done.

IBPS PO Cutoff 2025

The Insitute of Banking and Personnel Selection will release the IBPS PO cutoff 2025 after the declaration of result. The cutoff will be released for all the categories separately. IBPS PO Prelims Cut off 2024

The candidates should note that the IBPS PO Prelims cutoff has declined to a new low of 48.5 marks out of the total marks of 100 for the General Category. IBPS PO cut off is released separately for prelims exam, mains and final selection. The cut-off is made available in PDF form for different sections and categories. The Institute of Banking and Personnel released the IBPS PO 2025 notification on June 30, 2025. The IBPS PO notification 2025 mentions the important components of the exam such as the eligibility, vacancies, exam pattern, syllabus and the selection procedure of the exam. Nationality Requirement

A candidate applying for IBPS CRP/Bank PO Examination must be one of the following:

1. Citizen of India

2. Subject of Nepal or Bhutan

3. Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement

4. Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India

Candidates belonging to the category 2, 3, 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt of India in their favour.

Age Limit

IBPS PO eligibility criteria are certain parameters regarding age and educational qualification. The age limit of candidates for IBPS PO is between 20 and 30 years. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1995 and not later than 01.08.2005 (both dates inclusive).

The IBPS also provides age relaxation to certain categories.  Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to the following categories.

Educational Qualification

The eligibility criteria for the IBPS CRP exam is a graduation degree (BA, BCom, BSc, BTech, etc) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India. Any such candidate who has received equivalent qualification which the Central Government recognizes is also eligible to apply for this exam.

The candidates must have a valid mark sheet/ degree certificate that certifies that they are a graduate on the day they register for this exam, and must indicate the percentage of marks obtained in graduation while registering for the IBPS PO. 

Calculation of Graduation Percentage

The percentage of marks obtained in graduation is arrived at by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects irrespective of honours/optional/additional optional subject, if any) multiplied by 100. This will be applicable for those Universities also where Class/Grade is decided on the basis of Honours marks only. The fraction of percentage so arrived is ignored i.e. 59.99 per cent will be treated as less than 60 per cent and 54.99 per cent are treated as less than 55 per cent.

Computer Literacy

Working knowledge of computer systems is necessary for the job as well as to give the IBPS PO exam which is conducted in online mode.

Language Proficiency

Verbal and written proficiency in the official language of the State/UT is desirable. The candidate must be able to read, write and speak the language.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2025

The IBPS PO 2025 exam pattern was revised. In the Prelims exam, the marking scheme for the Quantitative Aptitude and  Reasoning Ability has been changed. The exam pattern is divided into prelims, mains and interviews. It is explained below in detail:

IBPS PO Prelims Exam Pattern (Revised)

IBPS PO prelims exam is conducted for one hour with 20 minutes of sectional timings. It consists of three sections with a total of 100 questions. The total marks allotted to the test are 100 marks. There is a negative marking in IBPS PO and 0.25 marks are deducted for a wrong answer. IBPS PO exam pattern is given below.

IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern (Revised)

In the Mains exam now, 145 objective questions will be asked for 200 marks and an additional Descriptive Paper worth 25 marks will be asked, making the total 225 marks. Each section is separately timed which is demanding better time management from the candidates. IBPS PO mains exam pattern comprises both objective and descriptive-type tests. The duration of the test is 3 hours 10 minutes. The total marks allotted to the test are 225. Candidates qualifying the mains exam are called for an interview.

IBPS PO Interview

Shortlisted candidates for the mains exam are called for the interview, which is conducted by the participating organizations and coordinated by the nodal bank. The interview carries 100 marks. In the interview, candidates are asked questions based on the Banking Sector, Current Affairs, General Awareness, etc. The minimum qualifying mark in the interview is 40 per cent (35 per cent for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). 

IBPS PO Mock Test

IBPS PO mock test gives candidates a feel of the actual examination as they need to attempt a good number of questions within the given time frame. After analysing the mock test, candidates get a fair idea of their strong and weak subjects. Accordingly, candidates can chalk out a plan and start working on their goals. What is IBPS PO?

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Probationary Officers or IBPS PO exam is conducted annually to recruit Probationary Officers/Management Trainees (PO/MT) in 11 Public Sector Banks in India. IBPS CRP PO/MT exam comprises the preliminary exam, mains exam, and interview. A job in the banking industry is one of the most sought-after career options in the country. The post of Probationary Officer/Management Trainee (PO/MT) in the public sector banks in India is in huge demand because of career growth and lucrative salary.

IBPS PO preparation needs a systematic and holistic approach. Since the syllabus is vast, candidates need to choose the right IBPS PO books to understand the concepts of each topic. IBPS PO Selection Process 2025

The recruitment process for IBPS PO is explained below:

Release of application form: The application form is released online on the official website. The application process comprises registration, uploading of photograph and signature, filling the detailed application form, uploading left thumb impression and handwritten declaration, and fee payment. 

Issue of admit card: IBPS PO admit card is released online for different stages. Candidates need to download their admit cards by logging in with the registration number or roll number and date of birth or password.

Appearing in the exam: The exam is conducted in three stages: prelims, mains and interview. Candidates qualifying the prelims exam are called for the mains exam. Based on the mains exam marks, candidates are called for the interview. The final selection of candidates is done based on the mains exam and interview. 

Declaration of result: IBPS PO result is declared online for different stages: prelims, mains and final allotment. To check the result, candidates need to login with a registration number or roll number and date of birth or password.

Probationary Officers (PO) and Management Trainees (MT) are recruited every year by IBPS. The recruitment process comprises prelims, mains and interview. Candidates must qualify for each stage to proceed to the next phase. IBPS plays an important part in the selection process only till the provisional allotment to different banks. The public sector banks offer attractive salary, perks, job security, fast growth, and good work-life balance. IBPS has been given the responsibility to recruit probationary officers and clerks in public sector banks. The prelims exam is qualifying in nature and marks obtained in this stage are not counted for the final merit list. The final allotment is done based on the mains exam marks and performance in the interview.

IBPS PO Notification 2025

The IBPS PO 2025 notification was released by IBPS for the recruitment of Probationary Officer (PO)/Management Trainee (MT) in different public sector banks. The notification was released on the official website in PDF form. The notification comprises all details related to the exam, such as the important dates, number of vacancies, eligibility criteria, the application process, exam pattern, exam day guidelines, etc.

What is IBPS PO Salary?

The initial in-hand IBPS PO salary is INR 90,732.77 with dearness allowances, special allowances, other benefits. The initial basic pay of a PO is INR 48,480 as per 12th Bipartite Agreement.

IBPS PO Job Profile

Candidates who qualify all the stages of the selection process will get recruited as Assistant Managers. This post comes under Junior Management Grade A (JMG Scale-1, and is also called Scale 1 Officer or Assistant Manager). Candidates will be on probation period to get recruited as Assistant Managers.   • They may be posted in specialized branches such as microstate branches, treasury Branches, etc.
