IBPS eligibility

IBPS Eligibility Criteria is a certain set of guidelines that highlight regarding nationality, age, and educational qualification. The eligibility criteria is different for different posts. Before filling the application forms for various exams, candidates must check IBPS eligibility criteria. The application forms of only those candidates will be accepted who meet the eligibility criteria. Read below for more details on IBPS 2020 eligibility criteria.

IBPS Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to apply for IBPS exams should ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria.

Nationality

Candidates must be either:

(1)A citizen of India or

(2) A subject of Nepal or

(3) A subject of Bhutan or

(4) A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962 with the intension of settling in the country. Or

(5) Indians who have migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Candidates belonging to the categories 2, 3, 4 and 5 should be person in whose favour certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

Exams Educational qualification

IBPS PO

Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university

IBPS Clerk

A degree in any discipline from a recognised university

Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory

Candidates must know the official language of the state/UT

IBPS RRB

Graduation from a recognised university

Proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRBs

Working knowledge of Computer

IBPS SO

Must have a graduation of postgraduation degree (Varies as per the posts)

 Age Limit:

Exams Educational qualification

IBPS PO

20 to 30 years

IBPS Clerk

20 to 28 years

IBPS RRB

For Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager): 21 to 40 years

For Officer Scale- II (Manager):  21 to 32 years

For Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager): 18 to 30 years

For Office Assistant (Multipurpose): 18 to 28 years

IBPS SO

20 to 30 years

 Relaxation in the age limit

Candidates belonging to the reserved categories will be given relaxation in the age limit as given below:

Category Relaxation

Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe

5 years

Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer)

3 years

Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen

The actual period of service rendered in the defence forces + 3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years

Widows, divorced women, and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried

9 years

Persons ordinarily domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989

5 years

Persons affected by 1984 riots

5 years

Regular employees of the Union Carbide Factory, Bhopal retrenched from service (Applicable to Madhya Pradesh state only)

5 years

There is no facility to recheck IBPS RRB result. The same announced by the examination authority is considered as final. The result is announced online. Candidates can check their results by logging with the required credentials.
