The SSC CGL Tier 1 shift timings are very important for the candidates because they are required to plan their itineraries for the exam day and make travel arrangements. The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam dates of the candidates on September 3 along with the shift timing of the candidate. The Commission will release the SSC CGL Tier 1 admit card with full details about the exam centres just two/three days before the exam date of the candidate. The SSC CGL 2025 will be conducted from September 12 to 26 at the designated exam centres. SSC CGL Tier 1 Shift Timing 2025
The candidates should note that their exam will be conducted based on the exam timing mentioned on their SSC CGL admit card. The candidates are advised to reach their assigned exam centre as per their reporting time mentioned in their admit card. The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is the most important tier because it will decide the fate of the candidate and their future participation in the exam. The CBE will be conducted based on the SSC CGL syllabus mentioned in the official notification. The candidates should try to maximise their scores so that they beat the competition. The shift 4 is conducted at some exam centres only, hence it is written as optional. The candidates are advised to check their admit card for more details. SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is conducted online. The test paper carries four sections English Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. The test carries a total of 100 multiple-choice questions of 200 marks. SSC CGL exam timing for Tier 1 is one hour.

No. The Tier 1 marks for the SSC CGL are not used in the preparation of the final merit list. The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is qualifying in nature. Candidates are shortlisted for Tier 2 exam. However, the final selection and ranking is based on the marks obtained in the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam.
