---|---|---|
Tier-I |

Online |
Objective test |

Once the result for each stage/tier of the exam is announced, the Staff Selection Commission releases the final SSC CGL result. This means that marks secured by candidates in the computer proficiency/skill test are not considered at the time of preparation of the final SSC CGL result.
Candidates whose names/roll numbers appear in the final SSC CGL merit list/result are then allotted their respective posts as per the available vacancies.
What is the tie-break criteria in SSC CGL?
In case of a tie in the combined aggregate score (in tier-I, -II and -III exams) of two or more candidates, the following criteria are adopted to create the merit list until the tie is resolved:
- Total marks of a candidate in the tier-II exam
- Total marks of a candidate in the tier-III exam
- Total marks of a candidate in Tier-I exam
- Date of birth, with older candidate, placed higher
- Alphabetical order in which the first names of the candidates appear
SSC CGL Cutoff Marks
The SSC CGL cutoff is the minimum marks that candidates need to secure in order to qualify for each stage of the exam. The cutoff is released after completion of each stage/tier and is determined on the basis of factors such as:
- Number of candidates appeared for the exam
- Number of available vacancies
- Difficulty level of the paper
- Previous year cutoffs
