WBCS 2022 Last-Minute Tips
We suppose that the candidates have finished the subject material and revising for the exam. The important last-minute tips include the time management tips for the exam as well.
WBCS 2022: How to Revise?
The candidates must focus on revising the already studies study material and abstain from taking up new study material now. It is important to concrete the already prepared study material instead of mugging up new material.
The candidates should divide the day into two or three parts and each part to a different subject. Take the previous year's question papers and mark the answer to the subject-related questions. Compare the answers with the official answers. This will provide an idea about the priority of revision topics. The candidates should revise those concepts first based on the correctness of the answer marked.
WBCS 2022 Exam Tips: Train your mind
The WBCS 2022 exam will be conducted on June 19, from 12.00 PM to 02.30 PM. The candidates must reserve this time for daily practice with the WBCS question papers of previous years or the mock test papers to train the mind so that it can work efficiently on the day of the exam. This mind will work optimally if it is trained to work hard at a particular time daily.
WBCS 2022: Time Management Tips
The foremost thing is not to waste time on one question. There is a limited time and the candidates should use it efficiently. Hence, the candidate should not waste the time in thinking endlessly about the question. The better option will be to read the questions and if the candidates do not know the answer, they should skip the answer.
There is very little margin for intelligence guessing because of the time constraint. The candidates can try intelligent guesses in marking the answer to some questions only because there is negative marking for each incorrect answer.
One-third of the marks assigned for the correct answer will be deducted from the aggregate of the candidate. It means three incorrect answers will eat up the marks scored for one correct answer.
Tackling Negative Marking in WBCS 2022
The outright suggestion to tackle negative marking is the leave the question unanswered where the candidates do not know the answer. However, there are questions where the candidates can deduce the answer by applying the elimination method to the options. This is called intelligent guess. The candidates can do it where they are sure about the two answer options and they need to opt for one.
In case the candidate attempts four intelligent guesses and in the worst possibility, three questions went wrong and only one question goes correct. Here also the score of the candidate is unaffected.
In case more than one question becomes right, it will add up the marks in the candidate’s total score.
