The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the CUET UG 2025 Accountancy paper pattern. Candidates appearing for the Accountancy exam from May 22, 2025, onwards will have the option to attempt questions from either Unit 5 (Analysis of Financial Statements) or the optional Unit 5 (Computerised Accounting System). Candidates who have appeared for the CUET 2025 Accountancy exam between May 13 and 16, 2025, can either re-appear or retain their original score. Candidates who have submitted their consent form by May 24, 2025 (by 01:00 pm) will be eligible for the re-test. NTA has released the admit card for the re-test. The CUET Accountancy re-test will be conducted between June 02 and June 04, 2025, and on June 04 for CUET 2025 Tamil and Urdu Re Exam (for May 22, Shift 2 candidates).

CUET UG 2025 Admit Card Released for Re-Test of Accountancy, Tamil and Urdu Subjects; Check Details
CUET UG section I and section II, consisting of the language and domain-wise subjects are compulsory to attempt. On the other hand, the third section consisting of General Knowledge and aptitude questions is not compulsory to attempt unless it is the requirement of the programme the candidate has applied for. Candidates will have to choose the subjects while filling the CUET UG application form. In case candidates do not opt for the General Test, then they will be evaluated only based on their performance in Section 1 and Section 2 as per the requirement of the course and university that candidate has applied for. CUET Accountancy Exam Date & Timings 2025
CUET UG Accountancy exam for the 2025-2026 admission cycle is being conducted in two slots (9 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm). The exam duration for CUET accountancy paper is 60 minutes. May 30, Shift 2 Accountancy Analysis:
According to students, the CUET UG 2025 May 3 Shift 2 Mathematics exam's difficulty level was easy to moderate. There was a balance in the number of theoretical and numerical questions. Students with proper preparation and practice were able to attempt the questions.
May 22, Shift 2 Accountancy Analysis:
The Shift 2 exam of CUET 2025 accountancy was entirely theoretical. Only 3-4 questions were numerical based, on topics like Ratios. Also, there was no case study in the exam.
May 22, Shift 1 Accountancy Analysis:
Students rated the CUET 2025 Accountancy exam for May 22, Shift 1 as moderate to hard. The question paper included direct questions and theory-based questions. After interacting with students at multiple exam centres, it was found that the accountancy question paper at some centres didn't have case studies.
Additionally, as per NTA's notice, the CUET UG 2025 Accountancy Paper of May 22 had optional questions between Unit 5 (Analysis of Financial Statements) and the optional Unit 5 (Computerised Accounting System). Candidates were asked in advance to select the unit they wished to attempt the question. This means that, instead of presenting both questions, candidates had to choose between Unit V and the optional Unit V.
May 16, Shift 1 Accounting Analysis:
CUET UG 2025 Accountancy difficulty level was moderate on May 16, shift 1. As per the student reaction, the question paper covered direct problem-solving, match the column, table-based, numerical-based, analytical, conceptual, and comprehensive questions. The exam required proper time management to complete it on time.

CUET 2025 Accounts question paper was easy to moderate to attempt as per student's reaction on May 15, 2025, shift 1. Candidates have informed that the question paper covered the questions from topics like: Balance Sheet, Computerised Accounting (2 questions), Debentures, Match the column, Statement of P&L, Ratios, Dissolution, Cash Flow Statement, Realisation Expenses. Sequence-based questions were asked in the paper. Numerical questions related to goodwill and capitalization were also there.
May 14, Shift 1 Accountancy Analysis:
Experts say, CUET UG 2025 Accountancy exam for Day 2 (May 14), Shift 1 was easy to moderate. The question paper included two case studies: one from Admission of a Partner and the other from Share Capital. 40-44% of the CUET 2025 Accountancy question paper was from the Reconstitution of Partnership and Accounting for Share & Capital Debenture. With proper NCERT preparation, candidates can easily attempt all questions.
CUET questions are objective and multiple-choice questions (MCQs) type. The number of questions will vary for each subject or section and paper. There will not be any descriptive question type for CUET UG 2025. Candidates can check the below table to know about CUET Exam Structure:

CUET previous year question papers have been released for CUET 2024. National Testing Agency releases the CUET previous year question papers for all subjects and languages. Candidates preparing for CUET must download the previous year question papers to become familiar with the CUET exam pattern and the difficulty level of the question paper. NTA releases the CUET question papers for Languages, Domain subjects and General test seperately. No pre registrations are required to download the CUET previous year question papers.
CUET 2025 will be scheduled tentatively in May/June in CBT mode. CUET previous year question papers for 2024 is available for downlaod. Candidates can download the CUET 2024 question papers here.
To check the CUET answer key online, candidates must follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of CUET - cuet.nta.nic.in
Step 2: Click on the 'Provisional CUET 2025 Answer Key' tab
Step 3: Screen will now display the CUET UG 2025 provisional answer key in PDF format.
Step 4: Save and download the CUET answer key
CUET UG answer key challenge window will open tentatively in first week of July 2025. Candidates who will appear for the exam will be able to raise objections against the CUET UG answer key within the stipulated period of time. Candidates will have to pay the non-refundable fee of INR 200 for each question challenged. The CUET UG provisional answer key is displayed for two to three days. Only paid challenges made during the given period will be considered for revision. On the basis of the objections received, CUET UG 2025 final answer key will be released tentatively in last week of July 2025 at cuet.samarth.ac.in. NTA will not confirm the outcome of the CUET answer key challenges made. CUET UG 2025 result will be computed on the basis of the CUET final answer key 2025.
National testing Agency will release the CUET 2025 final answer key before the announcement of results. NTA releases the revised CUET answer key based on the objections received at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates are given oppotunity to challenge the CUET UG answer key 2025 within three days window. The date to challenge the answer key is June 20. Only paid challenges made during the stipulated period will be considered. CUET answer key challenges without justification/evidence and those filed on any other medium other than the prescribed link for CUET UG will not be considered. CUET UG 2025 results will be compiled based on the final answer key. Candidates will not get the outcome of the challenges received.
May 13, Shift 2 Accountancy Analysis:
As per students and experts, the CUET 2025 Accountancy question paper was moderately difficult. The question paper was quite lengthy and time-consuming. The CUET 2025 Accountancy syllabus mentioned Computerized Accounting as an optional section, but the question paper included compulsory questions. Most of the paper had questions in Match the Column format, and around 40-50% of the exam was theory-based. The exam also included sequence-based questions, along with questions from the Partnership topic.

As per the exams conducted till now, the average CUET 2025 difficulty level of the accountancy exam was moderate.
