The CUCET 2022 exam is being conducted between July 15 and August 20 in a window of 10 days. The second phase of the exam has started on August 4. Although the difficulty level was easy, the first day of the second phase was marred with technical glitches. Due to server error, the questions did not load on-screen and test-takers had to sit for extra hours. Several candidates had to wait for hours for the questions to appear. Some candidates did not attempt the General Test owing to delay in question appearance. NTA would notify them about the status of the pending sections or tests.

As per the CUET 2022 analysis for the first day, the difficulty level of the test was easy to moderate with a few tough sections. Some of the questions are of the opinion that CUET 2022 (CUCET) was easier or of the same level as that of the Board exam. The questions were within the CUET 2022 syllabus and were NCERT-based.

According to NTA, candidates have applied for 54,555 unique combinations of subjects across 90 Universities. The duration of the exam is 3 hours and 15 minutes. CUCET, formerly known as CUET, is conducted in a computer-based mode (CBT) in 13 languages, which are English, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Odia, Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Urdu.

Several candidates complained of technical glitches or server errors while taking the exam. For some, the exam started late and some other candidates mentioned that their system or mouse hanged mid-way. This caused a delay in the exam. However, test-takers got the actual exam duration as once the system was restored, the timing or duration of the exam was same as when it had stopped. This disruption caused inconvenience to a lot of candidates.
