LSR is one of the top DU Colleges.

Placements: LSR has its own placement cell, which is one of the top-performing placement cells of DU. In the 2024-25 placement season, there was a participation of more than 50 reputed companies like BCG, Brain, McKinsey, EY, Goldman Sachs, AB InBev. The highest package stood at INR 45 LPA while the average package was INR 12.18 LPA. Internships also had excellent recruiters like Brain, Blackrock, Accenture, KPMG, Gartner, and more. LSR primarily offers roles in consulting, analytics, and marketing.

Infrastructure: LSR is a testament to amazing DU infrastructure with 3 buildings, the typical red walls, vast lawns, 2 libraries, a canteen, Nescafé, Mother Dairy, a stationery shop, and a printer shop. There are quality labs with high-performing computers, and the sports infrastructure includes a tennis court, basketball court, volleyball court, and a gym. LSR has been recognised as the greenest campus among DU Colleges for the 5th time in a row. LSR doesn't have its own hostel as of yet, but there are many PGs around the area that are student-friendly and safe.

Faculty: Curriculum of LSR is a perfect mix of theoretical knowledge and practical application. Faculty across all departments are very well qualified with a student-friendly attitude. Especially, the statistics department faculty are qualified from the Indian Statistical Institute. Course curriculum, along with the internship experience that the college provides, makes the students industry-ready with hard skills like MS Excel, Python, SQL, R, SPSS, and more.

Other: College is vibrant with in-campus events almost every day of the week, hosted by the numerous college societies on the campus. We have 2 college fests in LSR. Noor, the Diwali Mela, and Tarang, the annual college fest. There are also academic department fests hosted by all the departments of LSR. LSR houses more than 50 college societies, all of which teach great skills to their associate. LSR also has NSS, NSO, and NCC to participate in.

It is beautiful with great exposure, but a competitive environment.

Placements: B.Sc. (Hons.) in Statistics is itself a very valuable course and not that famous. It opens a lot of doors for opportunities. It is basically used in every field. A good number of students are placed from LSR every year with an average package that ranges from 15-20 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course include McKinsey, ZS Associates, Bain & Company, Deloitte, Accenture, etc. Students will not be disappointed by the college once they get in. It provides good exposure in different college societies, and all we must aim for if we have a knack for numbers.

Infrastructure: There are a good number of facilities. It has Wi-Fi and a fully air-conditioned library, which will motivate us to stay there, especially in summer. It has a pretty decent classroom and is full of beautiful greenery. Hostels are currently not available, so we have to rent a flat or PG. However, that is available at pretty decent rates, so students can go for it.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful enough with good teaching quality. Semester exams are tough for courses like statistics. There are not many resources like B.Com, so we have to focus since starting. The course curriculum is relevant. The practical experience will surely make us industry-ready.

The lush beauty of Lady Shri Ram.

Placements: As far as talking about seniors, recently I have seen our statistics seniors getting placed in big companies like BlackRock, Brain, Ey, etc. If we check the placement statistics, they have also been quite amazing with the median package being 10 LPA, so it's quite amazing. For internships also, the states have been tremendous however there is always a tough competition but other than that it's good to go.

Infrastructure: I have no idea about the hostel as I live in a PG, but the campus of college is truly amazing. The lush green beauty is all around and you can feel the magic of LSR in its beauty. There is no doubt. The campus gives a top-tier 1 college vibe. Also, Nescafe is our go-to place for Chain and Maggi.

Faculty: Teachers in our department are amazing. They take the paint like teachers used to take in school. They help us with the notes and all. The curriculum is also good, but not too much. Semester exams are also quite easy to attempt. Since it's DU, so there's no such pressure for end exams but I'd say LSR is not easy to digest, you have to study a lot and you have to come to college daily.

Other: For me, it was a tough choice between econ hons and states hons. However, if I had upgraded I would have gotten eco hons from LSR itself but due to a change of mind, I just froze in the states. This course is tough and requires us to study a lot but I must say the rewards are going to be worth the hustle. For college life, I'd say that LSR is good, but being a semi-isolated college, we can't enjoy it much. Sometimes, we do not even have any idea about the fests happening in other colleges.

A wholesome experience though hectic!

Placements: Almost 70-80 percent students got placed, the number is comparatively less this year due to recession period. The highest package was INR 49 LPA from our department. It has its own placement cell. The top recruiters are Blackrock, EY, Deloitte etc. The average package is INR 10 LPA.

Infrastructure: For Statistics basically, we have one Statistics lab which middle sized. The faculty is good. There is Wi-Fi in the library and around the campus. I feel like DU has too much theoretical knowledge rather than practical. Hostel was available only for first year students but at our time, some renovation was going on. Canteen food is quite good at reasonable prices.

Faculty: The faculty is fine. The curriculum, according to me, is more theoretical. It should include more practical based knowledge. I believe that the timings are hectic, from early 8.45 to evening 5.30. It can be more productive the classes are scheduled properly.

I am satisfied with the best placements.

Placements: Placements in our college are appreciable. Around 59% of students get placed in the top recruiting companies such as Brain, Gartner, BCG, Praxis, Bank of America, McKinsey, Deloitte, Accenture, LEK, and many more. Many roles offered are a data analyst, associate consultant, and business development executive. The salary packages range from 6 to 40 LPA. Internships are provided by the placement cell. Many students receive pre-placement offers.

Infrastructure: Our college is a government college. It has praiseworthy facilities with lush green lawns, well-ventilated classrooms, comfortable chairs, and Wi-Fi. We have a huge library with a wide range of books for every subject. Hostel facilities are provided for the 1st-year students. Hostels have spacious rooms. Mess food is good. Our college provides medical facilities, NSO, NSS, and NCC with beautiful infrastructure and big beautiful lawns.

Faculty: Teachers are the best and motivate students to excel in their subjects. Semester exams are a bit difficult, but the notes provided by teachers are enough to gain good marks.

Other: I chose this course as it is mainly about practical knowledge of data collection and its analysis for which we were taught different statistical languages which help in gaining practical knowledge of the subject. Our college conducts various events regularly, like festivals, fests, some workshops, and events. Our college provides the best exposure to different opportunities. It is one of the top colleges of Delhi University.

Hi, the hostel fees would range from 60000-65000 INR while the college fees would be 21590 INR for the first year. The fees for the second, third and final year haven't been announced yet.
