Really good infrastructure of the college.
Placements: Every year almost 50-70 percent of the students from multiple courses get placed to higher companies like Thermo Fisher Scientific, Merck, ACRO HR Solutions India Pvt. Ltd and Bio-Rad Laboratories etc. These companies offer both jobs as well as internships based on the performance of the students.
Infrastructure: Big classrooms with attached labs were available in each department. There are separate computer labs at each floor with free WIFI 24*7. Hostel offers rooms to top meritorious students of each courses and the quality of food and other facilities were very good.
Faculty: All the teachers were Ph.D. holders. They are ready to help at each and every step whenever required. The course syllabus is designed to cover all the topics of different competitive exams like NET and GATE. After qualifying these exams students are ready to join any industry they want.
Other: I chose Biochemistry because I want to go with a subject that provides me with both the theoretical as well as the practical knowledge. College organizes fests every year in the month of February and students throughout the university are allowed to take part in various activities.

It is the best and most well-known college at DU.
Placements: The highest salary offered ranges between Rs. 20,000-25,000 per month. Many good roles are offered to our course students.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in biochemistry labs. All labs are well-maintained. It helps students to learn instant things with accurate things. The library is well-maintained with different books to study in your free time. Hostels are under renovation. All sports are good. We have an NSO class for sports.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and well-qualified from abroad and from the same college. The course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are not much difficult. They are moderate for students to pass. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: Our college holds the 10th position in top 10 colleges of DU. The department of chemistry and biochemistry is the best in terms of placements. Students must score 96% to get admission to this college.

I am fine with the faculty members, there are not many issues with them.
Placements: 70-80% students were placed in my course. The highest package was 24 LPA, and the lowest was 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies for my course are Wipro, Deloitte and HDFC. The percentage of students who get internships from my course in their respective fields is very low because my course demands at least a Master's in biochemistry to stand up to the mark for being eligible to work in this area.
Infrastructure: About infrastructure, I would say that it needs to be upgraded a little. More facilities should be given to students, as sometimes we end up with a limited amount of apparatus and reagents when performing our experiments in the department. Also, we face a little difficulty with the furniture available in our department.
Faculty: Professors in my department, i.e., the Biochemistry department, are very helpful & highly knowledgeable. Also, they keep asking the class frequently about their teaching methods, like whether it is easily understood by the students, or if they face difficulties in understanding lectures. Like they are ready to modify or alter their teaching methods. The course curriculum is also relevant, providing students with quality knowledge.
Other: One piece of information I would like to add is that the professors in the department are good, but they are sometimes very rude to students & that's why some students feel hesitant to ask doubts to their professors. Secondly, more photocopy counters are required on the campus because it takes too much time in one shop to complete our work.

I would recommend joining this college.
Placements: Almost 50% of the students get placements from previous batches in very good and top recruited companies. Top recruiting companies of our course include all those companies that give hands-on experience to lab work like Cipla. Lab researcher is the top-most role given to students of our course.
Infrastructure: Our college, as well as a hostel, has a very good infrastructure of more than 400 acres. All the departments, as well as their labs, have very good facilities including clean drinking water as well as smart classes. There is a very big sports complex behind the college that offers plenty of sports activities.
Faculty: All the teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They not only provide the theoretical knowledge but give practical knowledge alongside. Semester exams are not much difficult as they are made by a team of very qualified teachers so that everyone can get good marks.
Other: I chose this course because it is practical-based. Every department organises fests in February which includes various innovative topics as well as competitions. In such events, students from all DU colleges are allowed to participate.

I am satisfied with this college because of the good teachers and extracurricular activities.
Placements: Every year, almost 50% of the students from various courses get placements to various top companies in India as well as foreign. Top recruiting companies for our course include Cipla, Aurobindo Pharma, and Lupin. Along with this almost 70% of the students get internships for lab work in hospitals like Apollo, Fortis, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college offers all kinds of facilities that are required for the well-being of a college-going student. All the labs are big with a seating capacity of about 70 students at a time. There is a two-floor library present in the college which issues almost five books at a time to each student.
Faculty: All the teachers are Ph.D. scholars and NET JRF qualifiers and are very helpful. They are always ready to help when needed either for lab work or assignment work. It is very easy to get passing marks in semester exams. During this pandemic time, college is offering open book exams for all students of all courses.
Other: I chose this course because it is very easy to get a job in medical laboratories and hospitals. Every year there is a college fest that takes place in February in which various top singers are invited.

I am satisfied because of the faculty members and good placements from the previous 4-5 years.
Placements: Every year almost 70% of the students from various courses get placement in various top recruiting companies. Companies like Bharat Biotech Private Limited, Serum Institute of India, etc., visit our college for placements. The highest salary offered in our course is Rs. 70,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Our whole department is fully air-conditioned along with a clean drinking water facility for all the students as well as teachers. The hostel contains beds for almost a thousand students and provides proper hygienic food three times a day. The hostel contains a special gym for all the students living there.
Faculty: All the teachers in our college are PhD holders. They provide quality education. We have exams in May as well as December. The level of exams is average so that every student easily gets marks. Each paper consists of 150 marks, of which 50 marks are for practicals, and the rest are for written exams.
Other: I have chosen this course because I am a practical student and all the teachers are very helpful. Our department organises its own first every year in the month of March.

It is a good college in all aspects.
Placements: Being a science student, there were no placements. No placements support, and students hardly get jobs after academic degrees like B.Sc. honors. Placements cell was fairly active, and students from the commerce department were placed. Around 50-60% of students were placed. Students got a lot of opportunities to grasp and make the best of them.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college was good. Only the garden area was a beautiful place. The department classrooms were the best among all other departments. It provides spacious seats and big benches, since there were laboratories also, and an air-conditioner with a projector. The classrooms were very good. The infrastructure was not like something students see in movies or what they see in some other colleges, but it was decent enough, particularly the seating arrangement. Hostel facility was not good in this college.
Faculty: Students will get one of the best professors in this college, and they were very knowledgeable. Some were a little tougher than the others, but students will realize that they were the best. They will pester students to gain perfection. The laboratory work, and they were very keen to teach students to get perfect results. The laboratory was good, and students will get to learn a lot.
Other: DRC was the only college offering biochemistry on the North campus. I was not at all happy to get into this college at first, because it was a girls' college, and not much appealing to the eyes. But I ultimately understood that the best thing was to be on campus. Students will get to have more learnings, fun, growth, opportunities when they were in this college. I have got ample opportunities to get proof of it.

Good for overall development, a bit poor infrastructure, good faculty.
Placements: Most biochemistry students don't go for job placements, they mostly go for postgraduate study. It is common for every batch to get into good institutes like TIFR, NCBS, IISC, AIIMS, JNU, etc., for postgraduate programs. There is a Zebrafish research lab, so it is easy to get some exposure to lab research and also get an internship.
Infrastructure: Biochem dept is well-equipped every room has AC, unlike another dept. Wi-Fi is available but not accessible to students. Mobile internet was poor at my time in some rooms There is a computer lab for bioinformatics practical classes. The library is well maintained and equipped but there are few study tables and chairs, as the main study room got closed for some reason. The overall college infrastructure is not very good but it is developing with time. Canteen food is not good according to me. There is also a Nescafe booth that provides coffee, noodles, sandwiches, etc. A huge sports ground is there. Every year, there is a sports meet where students from various dept compete. Self-defence training as part of the NSS programme is also held there.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable and teaching quality is really good for biochemistry. Lab practicals are really good. It trains students to write their own practical files as students need to collect resources on their own to come up with a good write up. The course curriculum is suitable for post graduate entrance exams like TIFR GS jam.

Sorry to say, but in DU, the cut-off for B.Sc in biotechnology is 79% to 96.5%. If you belong to SC/ST category then you can get admission.
