CUET UG 2026 result was announced on June 23, 2026, at cuet.nta.nic.in. Yasharth Krishn has scored 100 percentile in Biology and 99 percentile in Chemistry and Physics. In an exclusive interview with Shiksha, he has shared his preparation strategy and how he achieved a highly competitive score in CUET UG 2026 exam.
Yasharth Krishn, in his second attempt at Common University Entrance Test in 2026, has secured a perfect 100 percentile in Biology. Along with this, he has also scored 99 percentile in Chemistry and Physics, making him a competitor for many students at top central universities like Delhi University and others. Yasharth, a NEET aspirant during his first CUET attempt, wishes to pursue B.Sc. in Biotechnology at the University of Delhi. He remained consistent and disciplined during his CUET UG 2026 preparation, which helped him achieve such a good score in CUET.
Shiksha: Congratulations on your score. Tell us about yourself!
Yasharth: My name is Yasharth Krishn. I am an aspirant with a strong interest in Biology and the medical sciences. Throughout my preparation, I focused on consistency, disciplined study, and strengthening my NCERT concepts. Scoring well in CUET UG 2026 has been a rewarding experience.
This is my second attempt in CUET UG.
Shiksha: You have scored 100 percentile in Biology and 99 percentile in Chemistry & Physics. What was your reaction when you first saw your scorecard?
Yasharth: I was extremely happy and relieved. Seeing a 100 percentile in Biology and 99 percentile in Physics and Chemistry made me feel that my hard work had paid off.
Shiksha: How did you balance CUET preparation with Class 12 boards exam?
Yasharth: Since the Class 12 syllabus and CUET syllabus overlap significantly, I prepared both together. I prioritized NCERT, revised regularly, and solved mock tests after completing each topic, as both the CUET and NEET both have a very similar syllabus. So I solved more mocks with the help of NEET PYQs also.
Shiksha: What motivated you to aim for a competitive score in CUET UG 2026?
Yasharth: I wanted to secure admission to a top university like Delhi University or BHU and believed that a strong CUET score would open more opportunities.
Shiksha: What was your overall strategy for CUET UG preparation?
Yasharth: I was completely dependent on the NCERT, as there is a saying that for CUET UG aspirants, NCERT books are their GEETA or Quran. So I revise my NCERT biology daily. In the morning, my first strategy was always to read a minimum of 1 unit of biology in a limited time.
Shiksha: Did you rely entirely on self-study, or did you enroll in any offline/online classes?
Yasharth: I combined self-study with coaching guidance. Coaching helped me stay on track, while self-study and revision played the biggest role in improving my performance. In my first drop, I was preparing for NEET from Allen Institute. That knowledge helped me to crack CUET.
Shiksha: Are NCERT books sufficient for preparation? Would you suggest other students to take help from other books?
Yasharth: Yes. NCERT is the foundation for CUET, especially for Biology. Students should master NCERT first and then practice mock tests and previous-year papers.
Shiksha: When did you start preparing for the exam?
Yasharth: I started my preparation alongside my Class 12 studies and maintained a consistent study schedule throughout the year.
Shiksha: Which universities are you going to apply for?
Yasharth: I am planning to apply to Delhi University for B.Sc. Biotechnology.
Shiksha: What would you suggest to future CUET aspirants?
Yasharth: Stay consistent, don't ignore NCERT, revise regularly, solve mock tests, and learn from your mistakes instead of getting discouraged. Use a stopwatch in solving questions and revise a particular chapter in a decided time, like read the bio chapter in 10-15 minutes. So that at the time of last month of preparation, you don't get panic. So get prepared mentally for the last-month situation. Always stay motivated guys !!!
