JAC Delhi Counselling Seat Allotment 2026: JAC Delhi has released the JAC Delhi counselling seat allotment results are announced on the official website, jacdelhi.admissions.nic.in. The link to check JAC Delhi 2026 seat allotment results is also made available on this page. The allotment of seats in all five participating colleges will be based on JEE Main 2026 ranks and individual rules followed by these institutes.

JAC Delhi seat allotment 2026 in all five participating colleges is being done in five rounds and one spot round.  After the seat allotment is done, candidates have to complete physical reporting after payment of the seat acceptance fee at the respective university/Institute for document verification. After the seat allotment, the JAC Delhi cutoffs are also released.

Once the seat is allotted, candidates are issued a provisional JAC Delhi seat allotment letter. This letter will have the institute and category/subcategory allotted to the candidate. Candidates must download the provisional seat allotment letter. Candidates who are allotted a seat via JAC Delhi 2026 and pay the required Seat Acceptance Fee but do not report physically for document verification at the respective University/Institute, their offer of admission is cancelled and they are eliminated from the counselling process.

How to Check JAC Delhi 2026 Seat Allotment Result?

Candidates can check below the steps to access the JAC Delhi counselling seat allotment result 2026:

  • Step 1: Go to the official website for JAC Delhi Counselling 2026.
  • Step 2: On the home page, find the link for the seat allotment result.
  • Step 3: Follow the link and access the login for the JAC Delhi counselling portal.
  • Step 4: Login using JEE Main password and application number.
  • Step 5: Under the login check the seat allotment result and download the provisional seat allotment letter.
  • Step 6: Proceed to the next step as per the seat allotment result.

What After JAC Delhi Seat Allotment Result 2026?

Once candidates receive their allotted seat, they receive a provisional seat allotment letter indicating the institute and category/subcategory they've been assigned. Candidates need to download this letter. After receiving the provisional allotment, candidates need to follow these steps:

If the allotted seat is as per the candidates’ liking:

  1. Pay Seat Acceptance Fee: Candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee if they are satisfied with the allotted seat.
  2. Confirm Admission: After fee payment, candidates need to report for document verification. The admission status will then be updated on the website within their respective logins.
  3. Download Provisional Admission Letter: Once admission is confirmed by the admission committee, candidates can download the provisional admission letter from their official website logins.

If the allotted seat is NOT as per the candidates’ liking:

If the seat allotted to a candidate in the JAC Delhi 2026 counselling process does not meet their preference, they have the option to:

  • Choose branch upgradation: Candidates opting for branch upgradation will be automatically considered for a higher preferred choice. However, this upgrade depends on seat availability, candidate eligibility, and their JEE Main rank. The upgradation process will occur in the subsequent round of counselling.

JAC Delhi Counselling 2026 Seat Allotment Rules

For allotment of seats the following rules will be applicable:

JAC Delhi Counselling 2026 Seat Allotment Rules for DTU, IGDTUW, NSUT and DSEU

  •  The provisional seat allotment will be based solely on the All India Rank Common Rank List (CRL) Rank of the candidate in the JEE (Main) 2026 examination as given by NTA.
  • For BTech Programmes and Dual Degree Programmes, All India Common Rank List (CRL) Rank in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2026 will be considered.
  • Other than the above-mentioned merit rank, seat allotment will be done by considering all the details given by the candidate in his/her ONLINE application like category, region, minimum qualification eligibility, choices filled etc.

 JAC Delhi Counselling 2026 Seat Allotment Rules for IIIT Delhi

 A separate merit list as described below, will be used for seat allotment in IIIT-Delhi

  •  Final percentile score obtained in paper-1 of JEE Mains 2026.
  • Bonus points, if any, as defined in JAC Delhi brochure 2026
  • IIIT-Delhi merit list will be based on the total of the above two
  • In case of a tie, a candidate with a higher rank in JEE 2026 shall rank higher.

 In case CRL is not unique, a unique rank will be generated for each candidate for allotment of seats using the following parameters in the order mentioned below applicable for all the participating Universities/Institutes

  1. Rank in JEE Main 2026
  2. 12th PCM Marks (descending)
  3. 12th Marks in the subject of Maths (descending)
  4. 12th Marks in the subject of Physics (descending)
  5. 12th Marks in the subject of Chemistry (descending)
  6. Date of Birth (person with age greater to be given preference)

JAC Delhi Counselling 2026 Document Verification After Seat Allotment

Candidates who are issued the provisional seat allotment letter and pay the seat acceptance fee have to then report to the reporting centre with all documents for verification. The reporting schedule is announced on the official website and candidates have to follow the same.

Documents to be carried at the verification centre: Candidates must bring the original and self-attested copies of the following documents:

  • Receipt of the admission fee payment
  • Print out of the application form signed by the guardian/parent and candidate
  • Print out of the filled choices
  • Marksheet of the qualifying exam
  • Print out of the seat allotment letter
  • Print out of the JEE Main 2026 admit card and scorecard
  • 3 passport-sized photo
  • Date of birth certificate
  • Bonus point documents, if eligible for IIIT-D bonus points
  • Reserved category/subcategory certificate
  • Medical fitness certificate, if applicable
  • PD subcategory, if applicable
  • For the defence subcategory, if applicable

Q:   Does DTU accept Class 12 marks for admission?
A:

Yes, Delhi Technological University accepts only Class 12 scores for admission to the BBA and BA (Economics) courses offered by it at the undergraduate levels. While admission to all the other UG and PG courses is subject to national-level entrance exams and couselling process, there courses offer direct merit-based admission to the students. Check DTU eligibility criteria for all UG courses in the below table:

Q:   Can I get direct admission in NSIT for MBA?
A:

No, there is no such provision to get direct admission in NSIT at MBA. Aspiring candidates must have a valid CAT or MAT scorecard without having a valid score in the aforesaid entrance examination student will not be eligible for any the admission round for MBA at NSIT. The counselling process for CAT is usually concluded between August and November.

Candidates having valid CAT/ MAT score will be shortlisted for the personal interview (PI). If the candidate gets selected in the merit list based on their performance in personal interview (PI) will have to get their documents verified and fee paid for final locking their seat in MBA course.

Q:   Can I get into DTU without giving JEE?
A:

No, candidates cannot get admission to DTU without appearing for JEE Main as the DTU BTech counselling is done through JAC Delhi. The basic criteria for admission to BTech is appearing for JEE Mains. To get into DTU, candidates must score decent marks or at least around 220 or above marks in JEE Mains. The only way to get into DTU without appearing for JEE Main is by taking a lateral entry admission to BTech second year. In order to do this, candidates must complete a Polytechnic course of two years and then appear for an entrance exam (not JEE Main but this exam will give you entry in DTU's second year.

Q:   How can I apply for MBA at DTU?
A:

The DTU MBA application process canbe completed in online mode. To apply for MBA admissions, candidates need to visit the official website and register themselves on it. After that, candidates can fill out the application form, attach all necessary documents and pay the DTU application fee which INR 1500 for general category applicants and 750 for the rest.

Q:   What is the cutoff of DTU for 2024 admission?
A:

Delhi Technological University accepts CAT percentiles for admission to the MBA course. As per the DTU MBA cutoff 2024, the overall CAT cutoff percentile for the General All India category candidates was closed at 85. For other sections i.e. Quants, VA-RC, DI-LR, the cutoff percentile were 50 for the General All India category candidates. 

For the OBC AI category, the cutoff percentile in the last round was 70 which has remained constant for the past three years. Candidates can click here to check all the information for DTU. 

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?
A:

After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced
