The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Admission Test will be conducted on September 20, 2020, and students from all over India aspire to clear one of the most challenging entrance exams, to get admission to the various courses and programmes offered at the renowned institutes. The entrance exam was to be conducted on August 2, 2020, however, the date was rescheduled to September 20, 2020. However, many students have voiced their opinion on postponing the entrance exam as the COVID-19 cases in India are still rising.
Due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, many entrance exams were postponed, but are now being conducted. Popular national entrance exams such as JEE Main, NEET, Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET), have been conducted successfully so far. The Ministry of Education, Government of India, has ensured that all safety measures will be taken and strict social distancing will be maintained at the exam centres. With the ISI Admission Test scheduled to be conducted on September 20, 2020, students are advised to follow the social distancing norms, adhere to the rules laid down by the officials and be cautious at all times before, during and after the exam.

ISI Admission Test Exam Timings
Candidates are advised to report to the ISI Admission Test exam centre latest by 10:30 AM, as the gates close by 10:40 AM. The entrance exams is scheduled to commence from 11:00 AM onwards and will continue till 2:00 PM. It is advisable to reach as early as possible so that there is no confusion and there is a smooth movement of candidates without compromising on physical distancing. The timings are as follows:

ISI Admission Test 2020 Exam Day Guidelines
Students who are travelling for the ISI Admission Test, should remember all the important points such as carrying the essential items that are required, items that are not allowed at the exam centre, the documents which need to be brought along to the centre, etc. The officials have ensured that cleanliness and hygiene will be maintained everywhere at the test venue. Students will be scanned through thermometer guns and will have to provide their self-declaration forms, which is attached to the ISI Admission Test admit card before entering the exam hall. Here are some advisory points one should keep in mind.
Before the ISI Admission Test
- Ensure to have your ISI Admission Test admit card and self-declaration form with you safely.
- Carry your government authorized ID such as Aadhar Card/Passport/Driving License/Voter ID.
- Also, install the Aarogya Setu application on your phone before reaching the exam centre.
- Only carry a ballpoint pen to mark/write the answers on the answer sheet.
- Carry your own water bottle, which should be transparent.
- Carry your own hand sanitizers and face masks. The hand sanitizers should also be transparent.
At Time of Entry
- Candidates are required to reach the exam centre well on time so that there is no overcrowding.
- Maintain six-feet distance from others on reaching the centre.
- Candidates will be scanned through thermometer guns, will be provided with three-ply hand masks and will have to sanitize their hands.
- Show your ISI Admission Test admit card and self-declaration form along with your authorized Government ID.
During ISI Admission Test
- Candidates will have to strictly follow social distancing on entering the exam centre. Maintain six-feet distance from others.
- Candidates will be seat in such a manner that there is six-feet of distance, be it laterally, diagonally and sequentially.
- Candidates will be provided with their question papers once the clock strikes 11:00 AM.
- DO NOT make any suspicious movements which can lead to disqualification. Cheating will lead to instant disqualification.
- Ask for rough sheets from the invigilator if required. The candidate has to dispose of the rough sheets once done.
- Candidates will be frisked if found suspicious.
- Candidates will not be allowed to leave the centre early if they have completed their paper.
After the ISI Admission Test
- Once the ISI Admission Test, candidates are advised to move out in an orderly fashion.
- Maintain six-feet from others.
- Collect your belongings.
- Sanitize your hands after completing the paper.
ISI Admission Test COVID-19 Safety Instructions
The ISI officials have ensured that all safety measures will be followed and facilities will be provided to students. Candidates are reminded that there will be hand sanitizers, face masks and water will be provided at the exam centre.
Sanitization: The officials present have ensured that all parts of the test centre which are likely to be accessed by candidates will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, including exam rooms, staircases, lifts, washrooms, desks, chairs, door handles, railings and gates.
Hand Sanitizers: Other than the candidate’s sanitizers, there will be hand sanitizer bottle which will be provided at the entry gate, all examination halls, control room. Candidates will have to sanitize their hands before signing the attendance sheet and providing the admit card.
Masks and Gloves: All people at the exam centre will have surgical masks on and will also wear gloves at all times.
Pedal Trash Bins: Bins will be provided in sufficient numbers at various locations for candidates to dispose of their masks and gloves.
Drinking-Water: Students are informed that safe drinking water will be arranged in sufficient quantities with dispensers which will be placed at strategic points. Adequate and uninterrupted supply of water will be ensured.
