UPCATET 2026 Counselling Process: Registration, Fee Submission, Seat Allotment & Campus Reporting

UPCATET 2026 offline counselling was conducted from September 18 to 25, 2026 at Udyan Mahavidyalaya, BUAT, Banda. Candidates can download their counselling letter from the official website. They have to report at the venue on their alloted date. The authorities have also released the tentative seat matrix for UG, Master’s and PhD offline counselling.

Earlier, UPCATET 2026 counselling was held in online rounds. The authorities released seat availability for each round. The latest seat matrix shows vacant seats available for UG offline counselling. Candidates can check the available seats across participating universities and courses before registration process.

Documents that students need to bring at the time of UPCATET counselling are mentioned below. It may be noted that students need to carry five sets of all the documents.

• Downloaded copy of the online UPCATET application form duly attested by Registrar/ Principal/ Dean of the last attended college/ institution
• Attested photocopies of Class 10 and 12 certificates and mark sheets
• Original and attested photocopies of mark sheets and certificates of Bachelor's and Master's Degree courses
• Domicile certificate of Uttar Pradesh state issued by the competent authority
• Original copy of sports weightage certificate
• Original copy of character and conduct certificate from the Head of last attended college/ institution
• Five passport-size photographs with name and roll number written on the back
• Original copy of OBC category certificate and it should be valid on the Counselling date
• Two bank drafts of INR 500 (counselling fee) and INR 5000 (initiation fee)

Students who would not turn up when their name is called will be given another chance at the end of the day. However, such students “can claim only the programmes in which seats are available at that time and as per their qualifications/ groups,” informs the official portal.

Note: If a student fails to submit any certificate mentioned above or counselling or advance institution fee, his/ her admission will be cancelled.

Here are some important points related to the UPCATET counselling process:

• Go to the official portal. 
• Read full brochure which is given in the website. 
• Complete the registration, fill in your date of birth, subjects and course. 
• You will get an OTP on their registered mobile number. 
• Verify OTP and create a password.  
• Log in and fill password, program and paper group. 
• Submit the counselling fee of INR 500. 
• Remember that registration fee will not be refunded. 

The UPCATET Counselling process consists of the following stages for all selected candidates:

• First, visit the official portal of UPCATET, i.e upcatet.org/
• Log in with the application number and password
• Proceed with the online choice filling and locking. 
• Then, the counselling official will declare the counselling result and seat allocation result for the qualified students. 
• Upload the important documents by visiting the official website. 
• Then, the exam official will verify all the submitted documents of the selected candidates. 
• Submit the security fees after the document verification process is done. 
• Once the provisional allotment is out, students need to visit the official site to download their provisional allotment letter. 
• At last, students get admission to their preferred universities after the document verification process.
