SVnit provides whatever you want, such as campus life , placement, and part-time job opportunities.
Placements: Those students who are pursuing integrated MSc in physics basically are not studying for placement; their main focus is research. The average placement is quite low for MSc physics ( it's around 3.5 LPA), and Max package is 9 LPA. So, if you are considering MSc physics for placement purposes, then I will strongly recommend that you don’t come into SVNIT.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is okay , because currently we can see that new buildings and hostels are in running condition. Mess food is quite good , taste is okay. When you arrive for the first time in a hostel, you find the food quite interesting, but later on, as time passes, you get bored by the mess food.
Faculty: Faculty are very helpful and good in behaviour. Currently, the physics department is in renovating condition, so you will find the scrub and other things placed here and there. The boys-girl ratio is okay as we consider it as an engineering college but not good in my class because there are 66 students and only 5 of them are girls.
Other: Surat is located in the porch area of Surat, so you will get whatever you want in the city.

Svnit Surat brief review .
Placements: Around forty percent students get placement and others opt for Ph.D. The highest package is 6.4 Lacs, average package is 5.26 Lacs, the lowest package is 3.6 Lacs. In M.Sc. some students go for teaching so Recruiting is done in coaching institute also like aakash institute, byjus learning app, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not that modern and cool, but still it looks beautiful. Departments have all basic facilities available. You will not face any problem. The Wi-Fi speed is not good sometimes, but when users are less speed is great. But mostly you will have slow speed internet. Labs are having all the required equipment and instrument for the experiment. Faculty members in labs are very supportive. Hostel in first year is average. There are not so much facilities in first year hostel. No lift, no reading room, No Game room, no tv room. But in second to fourth year you will have better hostel. The dinner is mess is best. And lunch is the worst. And breakfast is mostly good. Some of the best items in menu are :- 1. Chhole bhature 2. Paav bhaaji 3. Matar panner 4. Aaloo paratha 5. Poha 6. Samosa 7. Maggi noodles There is also a dispensary for health care. You can get medicine from there for free anytime you have some disease. Sports facilites is also good, you have a badminton court, tennis court, volleyball court, kabbadi ground, cricket ground. But the playground is not maintained properly. Hence no one prefer to play there .
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are good here, they are very supportive, knowledgeable. And they teach very good. But 20 % faculty members are boring to be honest In this course you are going to learn so much about Science, but only if you are hardworking in studies. This course will make students industry ready Most of the subject are easy to pass, if you have studied 2 -3 days properly for the subject you can pass them, but rarely some subject are difficult also, but if you study for 2 - 3 week before you can pass them also. 95 percentage student get passed.

It provides good infrastructure, facilities, learning environment, and sports culture.
Placements: Out of 5-6 students who sit for placement in 2019, around 3 students are placed in good companies as research scientists, and others pursued higher studies. There are a lot of students who get internships in top institutes and companies like IISc-Bangalore, BARC, IIST, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure provided by this college are of good quality and maintenance. The laboratories are in good condition and frequently renovated for upgradation. The hostels have proper drinking and sanitation facilities, and the quality of mess food is also average. A lot of quality sports equipment is provided to the students for various tournaments and recreation.
Faculty: Teachers are highly experienced and 2 of the teachers of our institute come in the top 5% in the world. The curriculum is well-planned and makes the course practical-based. The semester exams are average and test the intelligence and practical knowledge of the students.
Other: This college life is one of the best in the country, and the events all around the year keep the students engaged in various curricular and co-curricular activities. The annual fest Sparsh is the largest fest in west India along with various other events throughout the whole year. The college also has NCC and NSS for developing the wholesome personality of the students.

I am satisfied with the infrastructure and facilities of the college.
Placements: This year, only 5 students got placed in the college because many students want to go for a Ph.D. The highest salary package offered until now by Byjus is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Byjus, TCS, Wipro, and Filo visit our college for placements. Only 10 out of 41 students got an internship in colleges like ISER Pune, IITs, etc. Mostly, all students opt for PhD after M.Sc., so placements are somewhat less.
Infrastructure: The applied physics department has well-equipped labs for different purposes. Classrooms are well-furnished with benches and a projector. The hostel infrastructure is far good than expected. The quality of food served is excellent. Facilities like Wi-Fi, sports and medical are far good here.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and highly qualified. They are PhD holders from reputed institutes. The teaching quality depends on teacher to teacher. The course curriculum does not make students industry-ready because it is mostly theoretical and somewhat not related to the industry. Semester exams are above average. Our course is well-designed for students to understand easily.
Other: Students who have an interest in doing research can definitely opt for this course. Our college has an excellent scholarship for all students whose family income is low. Events and fests are conducted at a huge level. Students from the whole state participate in it. Seniors are very helpful.

I am somehow satisfied with good faculty members, infrastructure, but fewer placements.
Placements: Only 10% of the students get placed in this department. It is the best for engineering students. The average salary package offered was 13 LPA.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are too good. Wi-Fi is available in the hostel and central library. Labs are not good. Hostel facilities are too good, and mess food served is also good. Medical facilities are good. But the sports facilities are not good. We also have good departments.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are not so helpful. But they are well qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is not so good. Teachers are sometimes lazy.

No there is no specific course such as astrophysics. So, according to me this college would not be as good for your passion to become an astrophysicist.
