It's really worth it. Infrastructure is average. Placements offered were good. Good facilities.

Placements: Around 60 students were offered campus placements, and approximately 21 were placed. The highest package that was offered was 22 LPA, and the lowest was 8 LPA. To provide society with world-class competitive professionals in biomedical engineering by making the department the best through its faculty and graduates, which is a driving force in creating biomedical knowledge and novel biomedical technology that improve the human condition through the advancement of health care and biomedical sciences, among the topmost in India.

Infrastructure: There are in total 9 labs in the biomedical department and it has a variety of equipment that is studied and used for various activities. The institute provides a limited residential facility for boys and girls. There are 5 boys and 3 girls on the campus. The total accommodation capacity of boys hostels is 1180 and for girls, it's 415. Hostel facilities include free Wi-Fi, indoor games, outdoor games, mess, water coolers, tv and a gym.

Faculty: The teachers here are really helpful and knowledgeable; their teaching quality shows how qualified they are. Yes, this course makes students industry-ready, as NIT has a collaboration with AIIMS Raipur, so we can visit various hospitals, and it's easy for us. Semester exams are just a little bit tough but if you have studied well, you can score well.

Other: Biomedical engineering is a core branch where you can go for further studies and become a researcher or a scientist. There are 13 clubs and committees in our college, and various fests and events are held.

For placements, NIT Raipur is excellent, but the main disadvantage lies in the limited hostel seats.

Placements: Around 85 percent of the students are eligible to sit in the placements. Yet some students opt for higher studies and a significant factor is that those with backlogs in their semester cannot sit in the placements. In our NIT Raipur for the biomedical branch the highest salary offered was around 29 CTC with the median ranging from 9 to 12 CTC and the lowest being around 6 to 7 CTC. Note: No core companies visit for placements in biomedical engineering. Top recruiting companies include ZS Associates, Z Scalar, Dassault, and PhonePe, which have visited for biomedical engineering. In our course, almost all students secure internships at AIIMS Raipur, arranged by the college itself; otherwise, students explore internships in non-core areas. Top roles offered in my college include B.Ed Data Analyst, Software Engineer, Business Analyst, and Software Developer roles.

Infrastructure: In our department, the infrastructure is quite good, with all equipment available in the lab and in good condition. Additionally, there is an excellent library with AC facilities, and free Wi-Fi is provided within the college campus. Speaking of hostels, there are a limited number of seats available. For 1st-year students, hostel seats are allocated based on JEE Main ranks, and in case of ties, distance is considered. From 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years, students can get hostels according to their CPI. However, the quality of food is good.

Faculty: The faculty members are truly excellent, adept at teaching and very friendly. They have all completed their degrees at IIT, so there is no need to worry about the quality of teaching. The curriculum is also very consistent, making it easy for students to manage their studies and score well. Yes, the question papers are a bit challenging, as they are filled with conceptual questions and also include fill-in-the-blank types. So, students may face some difficulty in clearing exams, but regular attendance and diligent studying can help you succeed.

Other: I chose this course because biomedical engineering encompasses both biology and electronics subjects. Since I come from a biology background with knowledge in electronics, I found this course fitting.

My college better in education and producing great engineers for development of country .

Placements: About 55 percent student got placement there is 22 lacs the highest and average 11 LPA and the lowest is 8 LPA there is TCS and phonpay there are something 10 to 20 percent student got internship in few companies which should impact on him about medical sensors and biological impact on him .

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure in not much good due to lack of hostels we have to live outside the campus by taking room on rent the quality of hostel is good there is food quality is good and there is free medical and sport facility is also good .

Faculty: Yes the teacher is here all very well qualified and educated some are Ph.D. holders and some are M.Sc. and M.Teach psor graduates his teaching quality is also good yes the course is relevant and yes this makes industry for students the semester exams are not much difficult as much as other expect the pass percentage is 95.

Other: I choose this course because I have deeply interest in medical and engineering combined course the best thing is it has provides more knowledge I like to improve that there is no market value of this course more in market .

I'm dissatisfied with the hostel facilities.

Placements: Around 30-40% of students from our course get placements, and 10-20% of students get internships. The highest salary package offered in our course is 5 LPA to 7 LPA.

Infrastructure: Classrooms provided for our department are not spacious and small. Wi-Fi strength is good in classrooms. There is a central computer center in our college also known as CCC, which can be used by the students for computer-related work. Hostels do not have good facilities. The quality of the food is not good. Water coolers, RO, and Wi-Fi are not in working condition. Few elevators work completely. Medical facilities are good. Sports ground is not well maintained.

Faculty: All the teachers in our college are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Some of them are helpful. The quality of teaching is very good. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry ready. Semester exams are not difficult. Students can get good grades by studying 10 days before exams. Around 90% of students pass exams.

Other: I chose this course based on my JEE Mains rank. There are many clubs like Shaurya, Go Green, Raga, etc., which conduct events and fest in our college.

It is a good placement-oriented college located at the heart of the city with a hearty campus life.

Placements: Approximately 75% of students get placed. It is increasing yearly. Top recruiting companies include Amazon, Siemens, and Flipkart. The average salary package is 10 LPA. The internship scenario in the college has increased in the past few years as more companies started offering internships.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not good. Many students do not get a hostel. This creates a lot of trouble for students living outside the campus. The college consists of a badminton court, two grounds for cricket and football, a gym, and a squash court. Each hostel has its own badminton court.

Faculty: Faculty members in our department are good as they clearly explain each topic. They are eager to solve doubts if they arise. The curriculum is a mixture of electronic gadgets that deal with the human body. It requires some basic knowledge of biology and more about the system and how it functions properly.

Can I get admission for biomedical engineering via lateral entry in NIT, Raipur?

Hello Sreedhar, I am afraid NIT's do not give admission based on lateral mode. For getting admission in NIT's you need to appear for and clear JEE Mains with good marks. Best wishes to you.
