IISER 2025 Exam was conducted successfully on May 25, 2025, at various exam centres across the nation. The overall IAT 2025 exam difficulty level was moderate. Candidates who had opted for PCM found the Biology section tough to attempt, and candidates who had PCB in their class 12 found the Mathematics subject questions difficult to solve. Topics were equally distributed from the IAT 2025 syllabus. Preparation from the NCERT Books will help the candidates to have a good IAT 2025 score. 

The IISER 2025 answer key was published on the official website on May 25, 2025. Candidates not satisfied with the answer can raise objections in the time period which will be mentioned soon. After making corrections, the IISER 2025 final answer key will be published.

IISER 2025 Exam Analysis

Based on the student reactions, the IISER 2025 overall exam difficulty level was moderate. Candidates who are from the PCB stream found Biology very easy and took more time for Mathematics questions. Equal distribution of subjects and topics was found in the exam. Both the practical and theory-based questions were asked by the exam officials. Many of the students found the physics section to be the most difficult section to attend. Questions in physics were mostly application-based, and the electricity topic had the highest weightage of questions. Questions in biology were technical and practical-based; no repeated questions were asked in this section.

Q:   What are the steps to download IISER answer key?
A: 

Candidates will be able to download the final answer key of IISER 2025 pdf from the official website only in online mode. The authorities released the first provisional answer key of IISER pdf and candidates will be able to check their answers and calculate the probable scores secured in the IISER 2025 admission test. To download the IISER answer key 2025, candidates must follow the below steps:

  • Go to the IISER official website - https://iiseradmission.in/   

  • Click on the ‘IISER answer key” link.

  • Enter application number (roll number) and password.

  • The answer key of IISER was displayed on the screen.

  • Take a print out of the answer key and save it for future reference

Q:   In what mode will IISER 2025 aptitude test be conducted?
A: 

IISER 2025 entrance examination for the academic session 2025-2026 will be conducted online/ computer-based test. Candidates will get a the nearest ION digital zone as their examination centre and will give the IISER 2025 entrance examination on the computer.

The IISER Entrance Exam 2025 pattern has been specified for this year's examination. It has been observed that the IISER Entrance Exam 2025 pattern remains to be same as of the previous year of IISER Entrance Exam which was also conducted in online mode I. e. computer-based. The only change which is made by the exam conducting body is the marks awarded for each correct answer. Earlier the examination was 180 marks, but now the maximum mark of the examination will be 240 marks. The IISER Entrance Exam will be conducted in various exam centres across India. The duration of the entrance exam was 3 Hours and the medium of the IISER Entrance Exam be in English . The format of the IISER Entrance Exam is in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).. .

Q:   When will IISER 2025 Answer Key objection raise window open?
A: 

The online window to raise representations about questions/answers in IAT 2025 started on May 29, 2025 from 5 pm onwards. The last date to raise objections will be June 01, 2025 till 5 pm. Candidates need to log in to your account and click on IAT Channel Tab. Then they will be able to see two tabs - "IAT 2025 Objection" tab and "Candidate Response" tab. 

Candidates can go through the provisonal answer keys in order to get an estimation of the score that they can obtain in the IISER entrance exam 2025. In case of any discrepancy with respect to any question asked in the exam or its answer, candidates can raise an objection (s) to the exam authorities in the prescribed format. If the raised objection is successful, a final IISER entrance exam 2025 answer key will be released with all the required modifications.

Q:   What language will the IISER Entrance Exam be conducted in?
A: 

Candidates who cleared their Class 12 in the Science stream are eligible to apply for the IISER Entrance Exam 2025. As per the IISER Entrance Exam pattern, there are a total of 60 objective questions that candidates need to complete in three hours duration. The question paper will be in English and Hindi languages. The candidates must read all the given instructions provided in the question papers at the time of examination.

Q:   How long will be the IISER Entrance Exam?
A: 

Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) conduct an entrance exam in order to provide admission to candidates in the five-year-long BSMS dual degree programme offered by them. Candidates who cleared their Class 12 in the Science stream will be eligible to apply for the IISER Entrance Exam 2025. IISER 2025 entrance examination is conducted once in every year. IISER 2025 entrance examination will have 60 questions which the candidates need to answer in the duration of three hours.

Sakhshi: The exam difficulty level was easier than expected. Questions from the Chemistry subject were the easiest. Biology was of moderate level. Maths and Physics subjects were also of moderate level to solve. Nothing apart from the mentioned syllabus was asked. In physics, topics from current were asked more. From Mathematics topics like continuity, diffrentiability and differential equations had more weightage. The expected cut-off will be around 150+.

Gaurav: Overall exam difficulty level was easy to moderate. Questions from Physics and Mathematics were on the easy side. Inorganic chemistry questions were a bit tricky and the level was above moderate. Chemistry subjects had questions from coordinate and compound chemistry. Physics and Maths were equally distributed. 

Dhruvi: Overall exam difficulty level was moderate. Biology was the easiest. Questions from physics were a bit difficult and tricky to solve. the expected cut-off as compared to previous years will be high because of the easy questions asked in the examination. 

Umang: The IAT 2024 exam difficulty level was moderate and the questions were approach-based.There were no technical glitches in the examination. Questions from all the subjects were on the easy side. the IAT 2024 cut-off will be high this year. Some candidates who had appeared in the JEE exam found the exam difficulty level the same as the JEE exam.

IISER 2023 Entrance Exam Analysis

IAT 2023 Exam was held on June 17, 2023. IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) will be conducted as a computer based test in centres across India. IISER 2023 Analyis will be updated soon after the conduct of the examination. IAT will consist of 60 questions, 15 questions each from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. Total time for answering the test will be 180 minutes. Questions will be of multiple choice type with only one correct answer. Students have opted for PCM in their class 12 std, found the biology section comparatively moderate to difficult and the students who had opted PCB in their class 12 found the Mathematics portion to be moderately difficult. for the common subjects for both the stream students which are Chemistry and Physics, the exam difficulty level was moderately easy. The overall difficulty level of IISER Entrance Exam 2023 was found to be moderate.

It was also found that many questions were indirectly repeated from the previous year questions on the subjects biology and mathematics. In the physics sections questions were maximum asked from theory-based type instead of numerical-based questions. Candidates can expect the IISER 2023 Cut off comparatively higher than previous year's cut off. The total marks obtained by a candidate out of 240 will be considered for preparing the Rank List. Not every candidate appearing in IAT 2023 will be awarded a rank. Rank cut-off will be announced at an appropriate time. Further, getting a rank does not guarantee offer/admission to an IISER.

With a 7,000 rank in the SC category, admission to any IISER (including newer campuses) is not possible as per 2025 cutoffs. Cutoff ranks for SC category in IISERs generally close between 125 (most competitive) and 750 (least competitive).
