TS EdCET 2025: The Telangana State EdCET exam is in the final stage of the admission process. You can get admission in all the participating BEd colleges across the state. Kakatiya University starts the registration process in March every year. The exam is conducted on behalf of the Council of Higher Education till September.

What is TS EdCET?

The TS EdCET exam is conducted by Kakatiya University annually. If anyone wishes to get admission in a BEd college, then they should take this teaching test. You can take admission based on the seat availability in the colleges accepting test scores. The test is conducted on behalf of the State Council of Higher Education.

TS EdCET Eligibility Criteria 2025

To fulfil TSEdCET 2025 eligibility criteria, candidates should meet the requirements:

Nationality/locality 

  • All candidates applying for the TSEdCET exam should be Indian nationals
  • All candidates should satisfy local/ non-local status requirements as specified in the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order 1974

Age limit

  • Candidates should be a minimum of 19 years of age as of July 1 of the year in which the exam notification is out
  • There is no maximum age limit required to appear for the TSEdCET exam

Eligibility Criteria based on Education

  • For candidates from the general category, you must have atleast 50% score in either having a graduation degree in BA/BSc/BCom/BE/BTech/BSc(Home Science), or a five-year integrated course. The subject must be relevant to the applied course.
  • For candidates from SC/ST/BC (A/B/C/D/E)/PH category, you must have at least 40% of marks in the qualifying exam.
  • Candidates with a BE/ BTech with Science/Mathematics as one of the subjects must score a minimum of 55%.
  • MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS/ BL/ LLB/ BA (Languages)/ BOL and any other such professional courses aren’t eligible.

Eligibility criteria for the choice of the subject under part-C of the TS EdCET exam

  • BCA with Mathematics as a subject in Class 12.

Physical Sciences

  • If you have a degree BSc / BE/ B Tech with Physics, Chemistry, or Allied Material Science as one of the subjects. OR
  • BCA with Physics and Chemistry as subjects in +2.

Biological Sciences

  • Degree in BSc / BSc Home Science with Botany, Zoology, or Allied Life Sciences as Part-II group subjects. OR
  • BCA in graduation and Biological Science as one of subjects in 12th class

Social Studies

  • If you have a BA/ BCom/ BBM degree. OR
  • Candidates who graduated in BCA with SST as a subject in Class XII. 

English

TSEdCET Admission Process 2025

The admission process through the TS EdCET 2025 exam includes the following steps:

  • TS EdCET application form: For the exam registrations, candidates must fill out the application form in online mode on the official website of the exam. The application fee of INR 650 also needs to be paid in online mode.  
  • TS EdCET admit card: After the application forms are filled and submitted successfully, candidates will have to download their TSEdCET 2025 admit card from the official website of the exam. Candidates must download the admit card by entering their registration number and date of birth on the TSEdCET website.
  • TS EdCET exam: Next, appear for this BEd entrance exam at the allotted centre. The TSEdCET 2025 exam has one-fifty objective-based questions. Complete the test in 2 hours only with 1 mark for every question.

  • ResultTSEdCET 2025 result will be declared on the official website of the exam. Candidates scoring at least 25 per cent marks (that is, 38 marks) will be termed qualified for the education common entrance test. However, for candidates belonging to the SC/ ST category and women candidates appearing for Physical Sciences/ Mathematics methodology, there are no minimum marks required to qualify for the exam, informs the official website.
  • TS EdCET Rank card: A separate rank list was prepared for each methodology, wherein candidates were ranked based on marks they secured in the exam. Candidates could download their rank card from the official website of the exam.
  • Counselling: Lastly, candidates had to appear for a web-based TSEdCET 2025 counselling session. Here, candidates were allotted seats at the Colleges of Education in Telangana State in their respective methodologies according to their rank.

TSEdCET Application Form 2025

The TSEdCET application form is released in March by the exam conducting body. Meet the admission requirements to start the process. It is important to upload the documents in the preferred size. In addition to these, they must also select their preferred exam center and methodology subject, and pay the application fee online (based on their category) using a debit/credit card or net banking.

The application form is released in March every year. The process is continued till May, when you may have to pay the late fees.

How to Fill the Application Form?

  1. Start by visiting the official website- tgache.ac.in.
  2. Unfortunately, we have to pay the fees first. So, find “Application Fee Payment”, fill in the important details, and pay the fee.

4. You must enter details like their Payment Reference ID, admit card number, Mobile Number, and Date of Birth.

The admit card is released a few days before the exam.They need to carry the physical copy to appear for the exam. To download the admit card, they must

TSEdCET Answer Key 2025

The exam conducting authority releases the provisional TSEdCET Answer Key. You can raise an objection when the first provisional key is released. Although a minimum fee for every question will be needed. You can use these answer sheets to predict your score and rank. The final answer key is released after verifying all the objections. TSEdCET Results 2025

The TSEdCET results are declared within 20-25 days of the entrance exam. You have to stop by the official website to download the scorecard. It is possible only after the result link is activated. They can start the downloading process by using the login credentials, i.e., admit card number and password.

If you also forget your password like me, just reset it by email. The result card that you will download will include your name, score, and rank. TSEdCET Counselling 2025

The exam conducting authority released the TSEdCET 2025 counseling schedule after the results declaration. Counselling fee is Rs. 800 for general candidates and Rs. 500 (Rupees Five Hundred only) for SC/ST candidates. TSEdCET Exam Reservation Criteria

Admission to 85% of the seats shall be reserved in each course in the Educational Institutions in the State for local candidates of the OU area, as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974, as subsequently amended, and the remaining 15% of the seats shall be unreserved seats to the following:

  • All the candidates are eligible to be declared as local candidates of OU area.
  • Candidates who have resided in Telangana for ten years, excluding periods of study outside the State, or either of whose parents has resided in the State for 10 years, excluding periods of employment outside the State;
  • Candidates who are children of parents who are in the employment of this State or the Central Government. It will also include the public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities, and other similar quasi-public institutions within the State; and
  • Candidates who are spouses of those in the employment of the State or Central Government Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities and educational institutions recognized by the Government or a University or other competent authority, and similar other quasi-Government institutions within the State.
  • The candidate should be of Indian Nationality.
