SPPU Admission Process 2026
Savitribai Phule Pune University admission is inclusive of application, appearance in OEE entrance exam (for OEE-accepting programmes, such as MA, MSc and MTech, among others) followed by the release of merit list and final admission offer. For some of the courses, seats are allotted via Maharashtra CAP. Such aspirants have to register for CAP after they pass the entrance exam. Check below step-wise SPPU admission process:
1- SPPU Application Process 2026
Candidates need to fill out the form on the official website of SPPU for PG, PhD and ODL/ Online courses. For most of the UG programmes, aspirants need to apply on the official website of respective affiliated college. Aspirants need to pay INR 800 (INR 600 for reserved category) to apply for OEE-based admission.
Aspirants need to pay INR 1,000 (INR 750 for reserved category) to apply for PET. To apply for PhD without PET, aspirants need to pay INR 600 (INR 600 for reserved category).
Aspirants applying for admission via state-level entrance exam score need to apply on the official website of Maharashtra State Cell.
2-OEE/ Online Entrance Examination
Candidates, after application, are required to appear for the course-specific OEE or other entrances conducted by the university.
Maharashtra CAP
For admission in BTech via MHT CET, MBA via MAH CET, BBA via MAH BBA CET, etc. aspirants need to apply for Maharashtra CAP process once the results are out.
Merit-based
Admission in ODL/ Online UG, MA and MCom courses is merit-based. SPPU conducts a Common Entrance Test for admission in MBA and MCA ODL/ Online courses.
3-Merit List
SPPU releases the result of OEE on the university's website. After the exam, students must wait for the course-wise merit lists released on the official website of the university.
4-Seat Allotment
The seats are allotted by SPPU in various rounds for OEE-accepting courses or those following internal admission process. For admission via state-level entrance exam scores, aspirants need to participate in CAP rounds conducted by Maharashtra state cell. The seats are allotted based on entrance exam rank of the candidates.
5-Document Verification & Fee Payment
After the release of the merit list, candidates must fill in the admission form and upload the necessary documents in it. After all the documents are verified by the relevant department, the admission fee challan is generated and students must pay the UniPune fees before the last date.

SPPU Fees 2026: Affordability & ROI
Pune University fees is a combination of many fee elements charged by the university. Some of the components are paid every semester, while some are one-time. Students with Maharashtra domicile gets some relaxation fees. As per the external sources, the fees for these candidates ranges between INR 4,000 and INR 15,000 per year for non-professional PG courses. The fees is usually twice the baseline price for fundamental courses for students from Outside Maharashtra.

SPPU Fee Refund Policy 2026
In case of withdrawal of admission, SPPU refunds some amount of fees depending on the time request was raised. Check below details for SPPU fee refund policy:

SPPU Seats 2026
Pune University seat intake varies course-wise. Candidates can get a seat in the university based on their entrance exam or merit in the last qualifying exam. - SPPU provides reservation in seats in UG, PG, integrated and interdisciplinary courses as per the norms laid down by the Government of Maharashtra. This also includes reservation for person with divyanga/ Orphan and defence personnel's child/ ex-servicement child.
- Reservation for MSc Virology programme is as per norms laid down by Central reservation policy from time to time.
- 30% seats are reserved for femle students for UG courses as per the rules of Government of Mahrashtra.

The UNIPUNE MH CET Cutoff 2025 was released for all rounds and categories belonging to the Home State and the All India quota. According to the MH CET Cutoff 2025, the cutoff ranged from 40.05 score in the first round closing cutoff to 99.32, according to the last round closing score for the General AI category.
The hardest college for admission was ILS Law College, with the qualifying cutoff ranging from 99.72 to 99.32 score in the first and last round for the previous mentioned category. Please note that the cutoff will vary for each round, category, college, and quota.

To get admission in SPPU for BSc programme candidates are required to meet the eligibility criteria: A pass in Class 12 or equivalent from a statutory or recognised board/ university in India. Eligible candidates are than required to take the Online Entrance Examination (OEE), which is conducted by the centralized system of SPPU. Based on the exam score, admission to BSc programme will be made.
Candidates must pass a minimu of Class 12 or equivalent from a statutory or recognised board/ university in India to apply for UniPune BSc programmes. Besides, the university conducts the Online Entrance Exam (OEE) for selection to these courses. The University also offers a five-year Integrated MSc in Biotechnology and a PG BSc programme to admission to which are completely based on merit released basis the OEE exam conducted by SPPU.
SPPU MBA Admission 2026
Unipune offers two-year MBA Pharma Biotech via the Department of Management Sciences. Along with the above-mentioned programme UNIPUNE offers several other combinations for the MBA programme at the PG level through its other affiliated colleges. SPPU MBA admissions for Maharashtra candidates are subject to a valid score in MAH CET, conducted by DTE Maharashtra. Yes, it is possible to join UNIPUNE for via CAT scores. The university also considers scores in ATMA, MAT, XAT, etc. for admission. Candidates seeking admission to MA are required to have completed their relevant UG degree. For further selection, candidates have to appear for OEE conducted by UniPune for final selection. The majority of MA courses are available on the campus of UniPune while a few chunks of MA specialisations are also offered by various affiliated colleges and recognised institutes under UniPune. After appearing for the exam, students are required to wait for the merit lists released on the official website of the university. After the release of the merit list, students are required to fill in the admission form and upload the necessary documents in it. After all the documents are verified by the relevant department, an admission fee challan is generated and the fee must be paid followed by that before the last date.
At the PG level, UniPune offers a two-year MSc programme in over 20 specialisations. While admission to a majority of these specialisations is OEE based, there are a few courses, such as Medical Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Drug Chemistry, among others, admission to which is completely merit-based. In addition to this, there are a few MSc programmes, the duration of which is slightly different from the majority.
