AKTU cutoff for BTech is based on All india Quota and Home State Quota. For the Home State Quota, AKTU offers admission to B.Tech. in Agriculture Engineering and B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) through KEAM followed by Counselling. MBA is a two-year course divided into four semesters. AKTU offers MBA at campus through the Institute of Engineering & Technology, UP Institute of Design and Faculty of Management Studies. Interested candidates should check the eligibility requirements before applying for any of the MBA courses. Aspirants who have passed the bachelor's degree/ equivalent examination can apply for the MBA course. Aspirants must check the closing rank of last three years to know the qualifying marks for AKTU B.Ed admission. IPU CET is a pen and paper-based test conducted for a duration of three hours. The question paper includes 150 questions. After completion of the selection rounds, candidates need to pay a fee to confirm their seat in the university.

CUET PG is the accepting exam for AKTU MBA admission. The CUET-PG examination is scheduled to be conducted in March 2026 (tentative). The examination specific details will be informed to candidates through the Information Bulletin of respective examinations, which will be published at the time of launch of the CUET PG Registration Forms.

Admission for the B.Ed course is entrance-based. Check the steps below to know more:

Application process: The mode of application is online. Candidates must visit the AKTU affiliated college offering admission to B.Ed course for registration.

Selection rounds: Candidates will be shortlisted for B.Ed admission based on IPU CET score. 

Admission confirmation: After completion of the selection rounds, candidates will be called for document verification and counselling. The selected candidates will need to pay fee to confirm their seat.

The selection of candidates to AKTU's BTech programme is based on their UPSEE ranks. The counselling process is also managed and regulated by UPSEE based on which the candidates are allotted seats. However, AKTU has reserved 20% of the total sanctioned seats for the candidates with a valid JEE Main score. JEE Main-qualified candidates are exempted from UPSEE and need to register directly for the counselling process. According to Times of India it is reported that total number of 70,000 seats were allocated for the B.Tech students at the Institute of Engineering and Technology AKTU. 

However only 30,000 candidates have registered and the rest 40,000 remain vacant after several poorly-resourced engineering colleges shut, culling thousands of seats.

In 2021-22, AKTU had 1.34 Lacs BTech seats,   according to the Times of India 44,384 seats remained vacant.

Eligibility: Candidates should have passed Class 12 from UP board/ CBSE or any other equivalent board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and a minimum of 45% aggregate in Class 12 (40% for SC/ ST candidates) to apply for BTech course.

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University commenced the UPTAC counselling 2024 registration at the official website. Applicants with a valid JEE Main score can complete the UPTAC counselling registration at uptac.admissions.nic.in. The last date to complete the UPCET counselling registration is July 17. The University offers admission to BTech courses through the affiliated colleges. First year of B.Tech is same for all branches at AKTU. Syllabus of first year is designed to introduce students with basics of all engineering branches. AKTU offers B.Ed course through BIMS Lucknow, RBMI Greater Noida, Kalka Institute for Research and Advanced Studies and Shri Sai College of Education.

After the JEE Main session 2 result announced, candidates need to first head on to official JEE Main website to know the performance in terms of rank and marks on the portal. You further need to download the scorecard to assess your performance. The needed details to log in are application number and birth date. Candiates seeking admission to AKTU and have appeared for the CUET-UG entrance test are eligible to register themselves for the Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) counselling process conducted by AKTU. Also, candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located in UP or whose parents are domicile of UP subject to the eligibility conditions given in the AKTU brochure are eligible for the counselling round. 

Yes, AKTU accepts CUET score for BTech. AKTU admission to BTech through CUET is for two specialisations:

• Agriculture
• Biotechnology

Apart from these, CUET score is accepted for direct entry to the second-year of BTech course. Candidates can apply for CUET for BTech (LE) admission.
