AMU Admission Process 2025
Candidates can apply for admission to their desired courses on the CUET website and CUET taken in the respective subjects shall be eligible for counselling and admission. Some of the courses for which AMU accepts CUET-UG scores are BA (Hons), BVoc, BSc (Hons), etc. For some of the specialisations of the mentioned programmes, CUET may not be applicable. The procedure applicable for admission to AMU courses through CUET is as follows:
- Registration and form submission on the AMU website (cuet.samarth.ac.in)
- CUET exam
- Online application form of AMU (amucontrollerexams.com) by entering the CUET application number
- Release of merit/selection list or intimidated through any other means
- Registration and participation in Counselling (if shortlisted)

The process followed during AMU CUET counselling is:
STEP 1: Registration
Candidates shortlisted or selected can register for counselling. Selected students have to visit AMU's official website (amucontrollerexams.com or counselling.amuonline.ac.in) to register for counselling. The payment for admission may also have to be paid on the same portal. The fee for the same for the respective courses is made available on the official website.
STEP 2: Provisional Admission
After counselling, provisional admission is granted to the selected candidates. Aspirants shall check out the AMU official website for updates regarding the same.
STEP 3: Document Verification & Physical Reporting
After selection, candidates have to submit a list of documents for verification purposes. Candidates must carry original documents.
The documents required at the time of physical reporting for provisional admission completion are:
- Mark sheet of last qualifying examination (with four self-attested photocopies)
- Transfer/migration and character certificate (If the Certificate is not available, an undertaking on the prescribed format is to be submitted within the due date)
- High school certificate or its equivalent in support of the date of birth
- Five (2.5 x 3.0 cms) recent front-facing colour photographs (with white background)
- Documents in support of Special Categories claimed in the application form
- Leave sanction/relieving order from the employer for the entire duration of the course, if employed.
- Name removal certificate from the rolls of the concerned faculty/college/unit (if already enrolled in another full-time course at AMU)
- Two self-addressed envelopes bearing postage stamps worth INR 22 each (to be submitted in the Office of the Provost of Hall of Residence/NRSC allotted).
- Two Undertakings on plain paper – one on your behalf and the other on behalf of your parents/guardian regarding not indulging in ragging
- Latest Certificate of vaccination for Typhoid, Cholera and Hepatitis “B” – (applicable only for BSc Nursing course)

There is no such provision for direct admission to any of the programmes offered at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). Admission to the AMU MBA is done based on the performance of the candidates in AMU CAT.The competition level is high for Aligarh Muslim University MBA admission and it is also reflected in the entrance exam conducted by AMU for admission to the MBA programme. The entrance exam is a computer-based test consisting of 100 questions (1 mark each), divided into four sections and they are as under:
- Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension: 25 Marks
- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning: 25 Marks
- Quantitative Ability: 25 Marks
- General Awareness: 25 Marks
Those who qualify for the entrance exam will be selected for the counselling process followed by document verification and fee payment for final seat allotment.

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) offers BTech and BE courses in various specialisations. The university admits students to its BTech programme based on their performance in AMUEEE. Before applying for AMUEEE, candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria for the course. To be eligible to pursue BTech at AMU, candidates must have scored at least 50% in Class 12 with relevant subjects.
