Q:   What type of questions will be present in the AMUEEE paper?
A: 

As per the AMUEEE exam pattern, the paper will consist of objective multiple-choice questions. Each question will have four options, out of which the correct one has to be selected by the candidates. All questions will be based on the official AMUEEE syllabus. Since the entrance exam is a pen-and-paper-based test, the correct option has to be marked carefully on the OMR sheet.

Q:   Which subjects do I have to study for AMUEEE?
A: 

For AMUEEE, the candidates will have to study topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. The level of AMUEEE syllabus will be similar to the 12th standard qualifying examination syllabus. All of the important topics have to be studied so that the candidates are well prepared for the upcoming entrance exam. The official AMUEEE 2026 syllabus will be released online.

Q:   What is the marking scheme of AMUEEE?
A: 

The authorities will release the details regarding the marking scheme through the AMUEEE exam pattern. For every correct answer, the candidates will be allotted 1 mark. However, for every incorrect response, the authorities will deduct 0.25 mark. No marks will be deducted for incorrect responses. Since there is negative marking, the candidates are advised to carefully check the questions and attempt it only if they are sure about their answers.

AMUEEE Exam Pattern 2026 - Course Wise

AMUEEE 2026 Exam Pattern (BTech)

As per the AMUEEE exam pattern 2026 for BTech, the paper will be conducted as an offline test. During the exam, the candidates have to attempt 150 objective questions. There will be three sections - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. For every correct answer, one mark will be given. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

AMUEEE 2026 Exam Pattern (BE Evening)

For BE Evening courses, the total duration of the exam is two hours. Candidates will have to attempt 100 multiple-choice questions.

For the BE Evening course, the candidates will be selected for admission based on their entrance exam score (100 marks weightage) and professional experience, if any (25 marks weightage). As per the official eligibility, “Candidates having professional experience of Government/ Semi-Government/ Public Sector Undertakings of India after passing Diploma in Engineering will be additionally awarded 2.5 marks for each year of professional experience subject to a maximum of 25 marks.” 

AMUEEE 2026 Exam Pattern (Diploma in Engineering)

AMUEEE exam pattern 2026 for Diploma in Engineering consists of one paper containing 100 multiple choice questions of 100 marks that candidates need to complete in two hours.

Q:   What are the total number of questions for AMUEEE BE Evening course?
A: 

The total number of questions for AMUEEE BE Evening course is 100. Out of the total number of questions, 25 questions will be from Physical Sciences while 75 questions will be from the Relevant Engineering Sciences. It is also to be noted that those candidates having professional experience of Government/ Semi-Government/ Public Sector Undertakings of India after passing Diploma in Engineering will be additionally awarded 2.5 marks for each year of professional experience subject to a maximum of 25 marks.

Q:   Can I attempt AMUEEE in Hindi?
A: 

Yes. Candidates will be able to attempt AMUEEE in Hindi. The authorities will conduct AMUEEE in three languages - English, Hindi and Urdu. Candidates will be able to choose their preferred language for the examination. At the exam centre, the candidates can let the invigilators know about their preferred language. The question paper will be set as per the selected language by the candidates.

Q:   What is the division of questions for AMUEEE Diploma in Engineering paper?
A: 

AMUEEE Diploma in Engineering paper will consist of four subjects. The Science (Physics, Chemistry and Life Science) section will consist of 50 questions while Mathematics will have 30 questions in the paper. General Knowledge and Indo-Islamic Culture will consist of 10 questions each. A total of 100 questions have to be attempted by the candidates in the entrance exam.

AMUEEE 2026 exam date has not yet been announced. The authorities are expected to conduct AMUEEE 2026 as a pen-and-paper-test tentatively in the third week of April 2026. The total duration of the exam will be 3 hours and the paper will commence at 10 AM. For admissions in to the BTech courses offered by the University, the students will have to attempt and qualify and entrance exam.

The AMUEEE cutoff will vary as per the category and courses selected by the students. There are chances that the cutoff will be higher for popular courses. General category students are also expected to have higher cutoffs than reserved category students.
