Andhra University Visakhapatnam Course Admissions 2025: Dates, Fee, Eligibility & Selection

Andhra University doesn't release cutoff for B.Tech courses such as B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Naval Architecture and Ship Building and B.Tech in Biotechnology. Candidates must qualify for Andhra Pradesh EAMCET/ Andhra Pradesh ECET for admission to the B.Tech course. To get a seat in Andhra University's other UG courses, candidates must get an overall state-wise rank of below 300 INI CET closing ranks. Some of the affiliated colleges of Andhra University accept JEE Main score for admission to Engineering programmes.

Pharm.D	Candidate must have passsed B.Pharma. and obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category candidates) from an AICTE/UGC approved institution recognised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as equivalent thereto. Final year appearing students may also apply on provisional basis.
M.Pharma	Candidate must have passsed B.Pharma. and obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category candidates) from an AICTE/UGC approved institution recognised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as equivalent thereto. Final year appearing students may also apply on provisional basis.
Ph.D.	Candidate who have passed or appeared at the final year of the Diploma examination in pharmacy course conducted by the Andhra Pradesh / Telangana State Board of Technical Education and Training or any other examination recognised as equivalent can also apply. Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as of 31st December of the year of admission (2023).
M.E./M.Tech	Candidate must have passsed B.E./B.Tech. in relevant stream and obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category candidates) from an AICTE/UGC approved institution recognised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as equivalent thereto. Final year appearing students may also apply on provisional basis.
B.Pharma	Candidates should have completed 16 years of age by the date of commencement of admission or on such other date as may be notified by the CET committee. There is no upper age limit.

For admission to BCom course at Andhra University, students have completed Class 12 exam with qualifying scores. Andhra University BCom admission is merit-based. 

The minimum marks needed to appear for the AUCET entrance exam to get admission to BSc at Andhra University differ on the basis of the candidates' category. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to BSc at AU through AUCET for the general category is 50% in Class 12, 45% for SC/ ST/ OBC in Class 12 and, similarly, 45% for PwD in Class 12.

Admission to the distance BCom programme at Andhra University is not so hard, prospective students are required to manage a decent academic score in Class 12. Whereas, admission to a regular BCom programme might be a little more tough than distance one. For regular BCom programmes, candidates have to secure good scores so they can be shortlisted in the merit list. However, for both BCom courses admission is subject to, fulfilment of the eligibility criteria and the availability of BCom seats. The basic eligibility for BSc Home Science is as follows: The basic eligibility criterion for pursuing a B.Sc. (Home Science) degree at Andhra University is qualifying 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream. Some reputed AU affiliated colleges and institutes demand Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects studied at the Class 12 or equivalent level.

An applicant can get admission to any BSc course offered at Andhra University without having valid scores in the EAMCET examination. Because this university also accepts valid scores in AUCET. Thus, applicants who have valid scores in any of the entrance exams can enrol. This allows students to take different paths to get admission into the course, depending on the entrance exam or performance in Class 12. 
Further, for some of the BSc courses offered in online mode, the university also accepts Class 12, merit-based admission.
