Review of Ponjesly College of Engineering.
Placements: Placement is average, and startups come for placement. The average CTC is nearly 1.5 to 3 LPA. Only because most companies do not visit for on-campus placement. However, we can apply for placements at other colleges and also go for off-campus placements. Commonly, companies from the Kanyakumari district come for placement.
Infrastructure: Students do not get a Wi-Fi connection. The classrooms are also okay. Once a week, we can use the library, but the library is available for only 1 hour. We cannot take books and read them outside. We can only read in the library itself. Hostel facilities are improving nowadays because most students are day scholars, but now some students are taking hostel facilities, so it is improving.
Faculty: Every day, we have a tutorial exam in the morning with 1 hour of study time and a 45-minute exam. Once a month, we have an internal exam. In the first year, exam marks are shown to parents. Parents are called for parent meetings, and marks are discussed. If we fail in tutorial exams or internal exams, retests are also available.

The placement is good and the campus infrastructure is clean.
Placements: Top recruiters are Hitachi, Cognizant, Movate, Econ, Hyosung, Mu Sigma, IMEG, Kaar Techno, and several software companies are coming for the placement drive with a package of 6 LPA and the maximum package is up to 8 LPA. The roles offered from core companies are like Electrical designing and structural designing and on the software side are like programme analyst roles.
Infrastructure: The quality of the hostel is good and the infrastructure of the campus is maintained neatly and cleanly. The campus life is good with extracurricular activities including sports, cultural events, and several clubs like NCC and NSS, which provide a wide scope for the students to explore in extracurricular activities also.
Faculty: The curriculum is up to date and the staff are really kind in teaching. Some topics are up to the industry knowledge level but it is dependent upon the individual calibre. The semester exams are quite easy to moderate and the pass percentage is around 92 percent.
Other: I'm interested in both software and hardware, so I chose Electrical and Electronics Engineering as my priority. The one thing that should be improved by the course is that it should be industry-based learning, not just theoretical.

A supportive campus with practical learning, events, industrial exposure, and quality teaching.
Placements: I belong to the Electrical and Electronics Engineering batch of 2026. Around 65 percent of the students got placed. Packages range from 3 LPA to 8 LPA with an average package of 3.5 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Kar Technologies, and Hitachi. About 50 percent of students secured internships in core electrical companies. Roles offered are Graduate Trainee Engineer, Design Engineer, and Testing Engineer.
Infrastructure: The EEE department has well-equipped labs, Wi-Fi access, and a central library with technical resources. Hostel facilities are decent with good maintenance, hygienic food in the mess and canteen, basic medical support and sports facilities for indoor and outdoor games.
Faculty: The faculty members are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable with good teaching quality. The EEE curriculum is relevant and covers both core and industry-oriented subjects, helping students gain job-related skills. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is around 85-92 percent for most subjects.
Other: I chose EEE because of my interest in electrical systems, electronics, and renewable energy systems. The best part of the course is its wide career scope in core industries and technologies. More industry exposure and practical training could improve it. The college conducts technical events, cultural fests, and extracurricular activities. The campus has good connectivity, a supportive crowd, and scholarship opportunities for eligible students.

The placement is good and the campus infrastructure is good.
Placements: In my course, some students did not get placed in any company. Many of the students got placed in a good company. The lowest package is 3 LPA and the highest package is 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies of our course are Hitachi Energy and IMEG. Many of the students got internship.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available in our course/department are Wi-Fi, labs, computers, classrooms, library, and many more. The quality of the facilities in our hostel, the quality of the food available in the mess and canteen, the medical facilities, and sports and games are good.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good, but some need to upgrade their teaching skills. They know the content, but they find it hard to explain. The course curriculum is relevant but needs improvement.

Good placement count and packages in 2025.
Placements: Based on last year, more than 95 percent were placed and the package was also really good, like 55 LPA and all. Many top companies do come here, including Hexaware and many more. Many students have done many internships. Mostly the placements are from software companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are pretty decent. They are building a few new buildings too. You have decent Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and a library. The hostel is quite good and in the canteen you can see basic food items. In the mess, non-vegetarian food is not provided, but you can order it from outside.
Faculty: The curriculum is all updated and quite easy to learn and many of the faculty members here are really helpful they guide you a lot. More than academics, you will get to participate in many tech events, and you can showcase your talent and abilities. So overall it is pretty good.

Good college, infrastructure, and faculty are kind-hearted.
Placements: CTS and Zoho are the top recruiting companies. 30 percent of the students got placed. Web developer and full-stack roles are offered more. If you join this course don't study college subjects study aptitude, programming and communication skills. These are important for placements.
Infrastructure: All facilities are good. Food quality is good, but the price is high. Our college has a high-tech system and a high-speed net lab with full AC. The lab atmosphere is so good and professional. The lab in-charge is of good character and they clean the system and accessories daily.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. The course curriculum is relevant. The pass percentage of the student is 100% percent.
Other: I chose this course because of the low cut-off. There is placement training without fees. The college has more fun activities and events.
