Chandigarh University's architecture scene just got even brighter. Biswajit Das, a soon-to-graduate from the Department of Architecture, has got the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) Medal for Best Outgoing Student of the Year 2025. Chandigarh University's architecture scene just got even brighter. Biswajit Das, a soon-to-graduate from the Department of Architecture, has got the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) Medal for Best Outgoing Student of the Year 2025. This is the kind of win that turns heads and starts conversations about what's next for India's urban landscape.

Institutional Affiliation and Student Affairs (IASA) Committee, launched in August 2023, this medal highlights one student from every affiliated school nationwide, bridging classroom smarts with real-world architecture. For Biswajit, this is proof that CU's hands-on labs, sustainable design focus, and industry tie-ups—like those powering its NIRF 14th rank in architecture—are churning out pros ready to shape skylines.

Biswajit's story echoes CU's bigger picture, which is a campus where excellence is everyday.  From over 70 specialised courses to global projects that prepare students for tomorrow's challenges. As one more CU talent steps into the spotlight, it's clear this university isn't just teaching architecture, but it's redefining it, one bold vision at a time.

Hats off to Biswajit Das, what a trailblazer. CU couldn't be prouder.
