Yes, Assam University offers separate boys' and girls' hostels. Assam University houses eleven hostels: five for boys and six for girls. The hostels are furnished with basic facilities. Along with the accommodation, the varsity also offers mess facilities to the students, which can be availed of by submitting a preference for a meal at the time of admission. Hostel seats are limited, and every student may not get a seat in the hostel. The availability of seats depends on the vacancy in the hostel.

Assam University offers a four-year BTech course in three specialisations, namely Agriculture Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering, through the Trigun Sen School of Technology.
