The best memories I hold up there.
Placements: Companies focused on sustainability visits during placement drives. The starting salary is around 3 LPA and can increase based on experience. Different government organizations, such as TERI, CCL, CMPDI, and CSIR, as well as various private and government labs, offer opportunities. The ecology field is quite popular and offers numerous career prospects.
Infrastructure: The hostels are well-equipped with all necessary facilities. The overall infrastructure is good, although the mess food might not be very appealing. However, the canteen and other food options are available. The educational and lab facilities, library, and sports amenities are excellent. Recently, the alumni president was our chief guest, highlighting the college's active involvement in events.
Faculty: The teachers in our department are outstanding. For example, Dr. Purabi recently received presidential recognition for her contributions to ecology, and Dr. Bhaskar is among the top 2% of scientists. All faculty members are highly recognized in their fields and excel at teaching. The curriculum is well-structured, and it provides significant attention and support. Semester exams are challenging, reflecting the high standards set by our expert faculty, but they effectively prepare us for these difficulties. The pass percentage is good, reflecting the quality of education.
Other: The environmental field is rapidly growing and highly relevant. I chose this course due to my love for nature and the environment. Additional equipment might be beneficial, but the college hosts excellent fests and celebrates various functions, fostering a vibrant community.
