As per the university prospectus, candidates must appear for JEE Main to be admitted to CSJMU. The fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria is also crucial. Hence, the applicant shall be a Class 12 pass with core subjects in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Eligible students can further apply by visiting the CSJMU website. The total tuition fee for the four-year course range from INR 3.37 Lacs to INR 4.17 lakh. The selection of candidates is based on JEE  (Main) rank. The university shortlist students based on their entrance exam score and whether they meet the eligibility requirements or not. The shortlisted students further are required to take part in the counselling round, during which the seat allotment procedure is carried out.

CSJMU BTech requires students to pass Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The selection is based on JEE (Main). This is followed by CSJMU counselling.

The reservation of seats to SC, ST, OBC, Differently Abled candidates, EWS and dependents of Army personnels shall be governed by prevailing Uttar Pradesh State Government orders/as per rules laid down by CSJM University. There are a total of 390 seats for BTech course in campus and affiliated colleges. Candidates can get a seat in BTech programme of CSJMU based on their CUET-UG or JEE Main score.
