Honest review of the BCA course at DIT University, Dehradun.

Placements: I am from the BCA batch at DIT University, Dehradun. In our course, around 70-80 percent of students got placed. The highest package offered ranges from 10-12 LPA. The average package ranges between 3-5 LPA. The lowest package ranges from 2-3 LPA. Many well-known companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, HCL, and Deloitte visit the college for placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the course is good. The campus has full Wi-Fi. It has well-equipped computer labs, smart classrooms, and a large library with digital resources. The hostel facilities are decent and safe. The mess food is average but manageable. The canteen offers a greater variety of food. Medical facilities are available on campus. Sports grounds and indoor games are also provided. Overall, the infrastructure supports the sports academy and students' lives.

Faculty: Teachers in the BCA department are helpful, qualified, and supportive. They teach in a simple manner. They explain well and are approachable for doubts. The course curriculum is updated and includes programming, data structure, database, and web development, which makes students industry-ready. If we practice regularly, then semester exams are moderately difficult. Many students pass easily with consistent study, so the pass percentage remains high.

Other: I chose this course because I am interested in computer coding and its career opportunities. The best thing about the course is the practical approach, lab sessions, and supportive faculty. However, placements depend a lot on individual skills, so students need to work hard on coding and projects.

DIT University offers a well-structured curriculum.

Placements: Around 90 percent of students are placed through campus recruitment. The highest package offered to our batch is between 30 LPA-35 LPA, the average is 6 LPA-7 LPA, and the lowest package is around 3.5 LPA. The major roles offered to students included Software Developer, Data Analyst, and Web Developer.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the B.Tech course at DIT University is impressive and well-maintained. My experience as a BCA student at DIT University.

Placements: Nearly 72-75 percent of BCA students got internships through college or personal efforts. Recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Teach Mahindra, Deloitte, etc. Hire the students. The major roles of BCA graduates were software developers, web developers, system analysts, technical support engineers, database administrators, and IT consultants.

Infrastructure: The campus has Wi-Fi everywhere. Computer labs are modern and well-equipped. Classrooms are clean and have smart boards. Library is big, peaceful, and has digital resources. There is a good environment for studying and projects. Hostels are clean and safe with Wi-Fi. Rooms available in single, double, and triple sharing. There is 24/7 security and warden support.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, friendly, and well-qualified. Most faculty members have good knowledge and teaching experience. They explain topics clearly and give real-life examples. Overall the teaching qualities are good and student-focused. The BCA curriculum is updated and includes modern subjects like Python, AI web development, and cloud computing.

Other: I chose BCA because I am interested in computers and coding. The course helps build a strong base for IT jobs and higher studies like MCA or MBA. It provides both theoretical knowledge and practical skills useful in the technical field.

Great college according to the environment, exposure and fests.

Placements: Almost 70 per cent of students who are enrolled in B.Tech are placed from DIT. Overall, it is good that the highest package offered on campus is 44 LPA and the lowest is 3LPA. On average, it is quite decent and top recruiting companies are Infosys, IBM, TCS, Amazon and lots more. For an internship, they do not provide much exposure.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is pretty good, classrooms are well-equipped, Wi-Fi connectivity is slow, however, the library is good with all course books available and labs are well maintained. Physics labs are provided with all the setup and equipment, and computer labs have good connectivity of Wi-Fi, hence no issues with Wi-Fi while using computers.

Faculty: All the faculty members are supportive and well-qualified. They do explain every topic, and moreover, you can always approach them whenever needed in their free time, or they just keep extra classes if needed. The curriculum is relevant for B.Tech. Semester exams are not that difficult, but as a B.Tech student, you need to prepare accordingly, and deep study is required.

Other: The crowd is comparatively low, and campus life is enjoyable, and the fests conducted are the best part of this college.

DIT University is one of the top universities in Uttarakhand for B.Tech CSE.

Placements: DIT University offers a placement record of more than 95% students. The highest Package was 58 LPA by Palo Alto Networks. Average package offered was 7.8 LPA by DIT University. The top Recruiting companies of B.Tech CSE in DIT are Harness. Palo alto Network, Infosys, KPMG, Accenture, etc. Around 80% students got internships in DIT from esteemed companies.

Infrastructure: DIT University has a campus of 24 acres and provides various facilities like high-speed Wi-Fi, well-equipped and advanced labs, technology-advanced and ICT-enabled classrooms. The Hostel facility provided by DIT offers clean and hygienic mess food, a well-equipped gym with a qualified trainer, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, various club activities, 24/7 medical assistance, etc.

Faculty: The teachers of DIT are mostly PhD holders from esteemed IIT/NIT colleges, carrying vast experience. The teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. DIT University offers industrial tours to provide hands-on working experience to the students. The examinations conducted by DIT are well structured and of good quality, but nothing that the faculty has not taught in the classrooms.

Other: I chose this course because I am interested in technical things and coding for various projects. The best thing about the course is that it makes the students industry-ready, providing technical as well as physical knowledge. In DIT, there are various extracurricular activities, fests, and events that make a student's experience wholesome with DIT.

Disappointing if you're looking for an OG college regarding placement.

Placements: 50% of students got placed. The highest is around 40 LPA, but it's not sure if it's off or on campus. The lowest is around 2.7-3, and the average is about 5 LPA-6 LPA. Oracle, Topaz, and other companies are top recruiters. About 15-25% of students got internships (my seniors). It's fine to have this, but I am not satisfied with the ROI.

Infrastructure: Most of the facilities that you can think of are available. The Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms are pretty good. The architecture is nice, and the nature around the campus is breathtaking (reconfirming to you that it's all about nature, not the "packages"). The mess serves okay food, and canteens are available and serve pretty well. There are medical facilities not specifically targeted at sports, but yes, they exist—not at a bigger level, but it's fine.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, but there's always a side where the teachers aren't performing as expected. The curriculum is fine. Passing means you have to score 30/100, and you must have at least 30/100 in your end-of-term exam.
