Absolutely impressed with the college.
Placements: Even though architecture courses usually don't offer placements, MGR offers students wonderful internships and placements. The teaching methods and structure were wonderful and had an excellent impact on students who studied here for this course.
Infrastructure: Hostels were very comfortable to stay in, and they also provided nutritious meals to hostel students, which were really tasty. Facilities of the college were top-notch, with AC classrooms, a library, labs, and studios. Each library was equipped with all the books necessary for students.
Faculty: Exams were up to standard, as they were not made easy. The teaching was perfect, as the staff were very patient with students. If we were able to clear those exams, it would have been very useful for our future and our career. Teachers helped us with the exam preparation well.
Other: The culture was exceptional. The atmosphere of the college was also very good, with friendly staff and workers.

Budget-friendly admission for the architecture course.
Placements: 75% of students get placed. Other 25% of students try to keep their firms and start businesses. The highest package is 2 LPA. The lowest is Rs. 15,000. The average is Rs. 50,000. Architectural-related firms recruit us. 100% of internships and placements are offered. Top roles are offered.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available, but it won't connect to phones or laptops. The infrastructure is good. The hostel food will be average. All medical facilities are available. There is no playground or outdoor games for the architecture department. The quality of hostel life is average and adjustable.
Faculty: All staff are friendly and qualified with great knowledge transferring ability and help us if we are in need. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Exams are moderately difficult. 100% pass percentage is there in the university.
Other: I love studying and evolving creativity into building space and knowing more about the structural side. There are practical hands-on workshops and site visits. Events, fests, scholarships, and extracurricular activities are very good. 100% enjoyable.

Yes, somewhat satisfied with this college.
Placements: As of the last passed-out batch, 70% of students got placements in good architect offices, with a salary ranging from 15,000 to 30,000 per month. For those who were not placed, the college provides support by recommending them for opportunities. The top role is Architect.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good, and they are continually improving it, such as adding ACs. Wi-Fi is available but very slow. Classrooms and labs are well-equipped, and the library has a good collection of books. However, restrooms are a drawback as they are not well maintained. The canteen is one of the best things in the college.
Faculty: In the Department of Architecture, and most other departments, faculty members are very knowledgeable and friendly. They conduct exams like the CAT Model, which are very helpful for students. The pass percentage for internal exams should be around 50%, and for external exams, it is also around 50%.
Other: In the Architecture department, students are encouraged to participate in more competitions and extracurricular activities. The campus feels less crowded compared to other architecture colleges in Chennai.

Good infrastructure and friendly approach. But more likely to give importance to money.
Placements: Mostly junior architect is the roles offered for freshers. In my college, seniors are opting to move out of india and work in foreign, as there is more scope for future architects. As far as I know there are no placements in my course, but other courses are getting placed in many companies.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available and mobile phones are permitted, but shouldn't use during classes. Classrooms and labs are available anytime, can be used by students during their flexible times in college hours. Library has separate period hour in the timetable. Food is not too appreciable, but they are improving.
Faculty: There are teachers who have more knowledge and experience and also there are staffs who are just Bachelor degree holders pursuing Masters on the go. Curriculum is very good and they ate improving and changes are happening to adopt to current requirements in the industry. Pass percentage is like 80% - 90%. Exams very easy and mostly relevant to the syllabus. Only 5%-10% would fail and also they might clear on arrears and revaluation.
Other: Campus crowd is like mostly average. College building is under construction for the past two years. Culturals are happening and also we are allowed to attend other college fests also. And as a B.Arch student we go on many field trips, site visits, educational tours, etc. Also fun tours like north india trip for 25 days and international trips to dubai, singapore, malaysia, etc. Are also available ( fees to be paid separately ).

I'm happy to be a student of MGR Institute.
Placements: Placements are not provided for B.Arch. students which is a professional degree. You need to apply directly to the firms that you want to work with. You need to have good communication skills and an impressive portfolio. The respective faculty members will help students to make the personal portfolio. A subject is included in the course curriculum which is helpful for students to have good communication skills and also to build a successful career.
Infrastructure: Our college has a very comfortable and well-planned infrastructure. The college is not divided into various fields, and the whole building is for architecture course only. There are well-ventilated and huge classrooms with many ceiling fans and lights. There are well-equipped studios to make learning and work environment more comfortable for students. There are well-maintained and hygienic washrooms on every floor of the building. A healthy environment can be seen on the campus. There are well-equipped computer labs, well-maintained library, a good canteen that provides healthy food. Hostel rooms are also well-maintained. Girls' hostel is available on the campus, and the boys' hostel is located on the opposite side to the college, making the college the best choice for a student. Auditorium and projectors rooms make the college technically advanced.
Faculty: Our college has many highly qualified and well-knowledgeable faculty members. They are very helpful to the students, and also they maintain a friendly relationship with students. They make the class interesting by including individual and group activities in the class hours. Faculty members are always available to solve the doubts of students without any hesitation. Personal attention is also given to students. Their teaching quality is extremely good. The student to faculty ratio is 10:1. Our college conducts industrial visits quite often to make our learning process more practical.
Other: Our college has good connectivity. One can easily access shops and other transport facilities available at a walkable distance. Inter-college and intra-college fests are held in the college. For deserving bright candidates, our college provides educational scholarships. The college has an eventful and well-behaved smart crowd. Sports facilities like football, cricket and other indoor sports are present in the college.
