Good faculty, engaging crowd, vibrant campus and balanced academics
Placements: Since this is a core humanities and multidisciplinary programme, direct on campus corporate placements are relatively fewer compared to commerce and tech streams. However, the college placement cell actively shares internship opportunities in NGOs, research, writing, etc. Most students use this experience to build their future CVs or prepare for higher education or government jobs.
Infrastructure: The overall quality provided was good, although it needed little improvement. The food in the canteen is great; hygiene is maintained and the staff is quite hospitable and friendly. The prices are a little high and should be reduced. Wi-Fi is available in almost all corners of campus. The facilities for sports and games are exceptionally great; courts and fields are properly maintained. The college also has a medical facility which is very efficient. The campus is very green. It holds the title of the greenest campus.
Faculty: Teacher here are well versed in their respective fields. Their experience speaks for itself. They are highly approachable, friendly and supportive. Always, stay on schedule and meet academic goals. The syllabus is well structured and flexible enough to give space for every discipline. Semester exams are moderately challenging, with questions testing student's overall knowledge.
Other: Campus life is vibrant with students from diverse backgrounds, different clubs, annual departmental fests and cultural societies. There are plenty of opportunities to participate in every field. The overall environment is inclusive and safe.

Best societies and diverse crowd
Placements: Gargi College has a lot of societies, including the Placement Cell, which is prestigious and through which students get placements. The highest package was 25 LPA, the lowest was 3.5 LPA and the average package ranged between 4-6 LPA. Top recruiters include Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG, PwC, Brain & Company, etc. The Placement Cell provides internships and training and enhances the skills necessary for placement.
Infrastructure: The campus area is 13 acres. It has 3 blocks for different streams. The classrooms and washrooms in the old building are not so good, but the New Academic Block has good infrastructure and clean washrooms. It also has a library and playground. We have one normal canteen and a Nescafe canteen, which offer decent food. Personally, I recommend Friend Price and Iced Tea. The college has an on-campus medical room. Although on-campus hostel is not available.
Faculty: The faculty of our college are knowledgeable. My teachers have studied at SRCC, LSR, and DSE. The teachers are ready to help you and solve your doubts. We even have tutorial classes that are held for doubt solving. Economics Honours is quite tough. The first year is easy, but the seniors said that 2nd year will be the hardest. Many students might be unaware that in DU you have to choose 4 optional subjects: GE, SEC, VAC, and AEC.
Other: Gargi College has 41 societies, which are very active. There are societies for dance, music, fine arts, photography, social work, debate, and many more. The campus is full of greenery and it even has peacocks and rabbits. The crowd is diverse and supportive. Attendance is not an issue at our college, as there are no strict rules.

NIRF #1 Dream college with brand value over package
Placements: 26% of students are placed. The highest package is 21.5 LPA, the average is 9 LPA, and the lowest is 4.5 LPA. The top recruiters are Barclays, KPMG, ZS, ICICI, BCG, Accenture, Godrej, Nation with Namo. 217 internship opportunities were offered in 2024-25 by Outlook, Salesforce, Info Edge, and Pehchaan. The roles are Policy, research, ops, marketing, and educator.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are appreciable. The Wi-Fi network fluctuates depending on the area. The classrooms are generally air-conditioned and have projectors and digital board, library has a huge collection of books on different subjects and genres. Hostel Wi-Fi fluctuates a lot; the quality of food is acceptable and other things are appreciable. Medical facilities are free and pretty good; sports and games are well-focused, gyms are available, and regular practices are conducted.
Faculty: Miranda House faculty are generally qualified, knowledgeable and supportive in BA Political Science and History. Teaching is discussion based though experiences vary. Teachers also suggest the reading for the course and schedule extra classes, which are considered tutorial slots in which students generally give presentations and do group discussions and teachers engage with students and help with answer writing. The curriculum is highly relevant for UPSC research, law and higher studies, but industry readiness depends on added internships and skills. Exams are easy to moderate, requiring consistent preparation. No official pass rate is published.
Other: I chose this course because I want to pursue higher studies. The best part of my course is the faculty. Improvement is required in practical knowledge and skill based learning. The crowd is excellent & regular events increase connectivity. Campus surrounding is perfect. Miranda House offers many scholarships and there are lots of extracurricular activities with ECA certificates.

Experienced faculty, beautiful college campus, good infrastructure, celebrated all across India.
Placements: The course I am pursuing has a high market demand, either on the policy-making side or on the professorship side. Students usually pursue their Master's degree after this combination in a Bachelor's to open up more job opportunities. This is a good combination for giving competitive exams like UPSC or SSC, as well as for going into the education field.
Infrastructure: The classrooms have good ventilation with blackboards. Each classroom on the college campus has a functional Wi-Fi range. The college hostel is of good quality. It provides mess and medical facilities along with many other facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality can be said to be one of the highest across India. Teachers ensure that the students understand every concept. For revision and practice purposes, tutorials are also organised. Each teacher has a different method of teaching, be it PPT, the chalk-and-duster method, or online assignments. But all of them ensure that quality education is delivered to the students. The Political Science and Sanskrit departments of Miranda House have excellent teachers. They have a lot of experience and teaching capabilities.
Other: I personally chose this course because Political Science helps me build my career. Whereas Sanskrit is a subject in which I have a keen interest. One thing I wish would be better about my course is the awareness that such a course actually exists, where you can pursue two subjects, one for career and one for interest, at the same time. Tempest, the annual fest of Miranda House, is one of the most celebrated and grand fests across India. The fest is organized throughout the college campus, which is very beautiful, clean, and well-kept.

Tempest - our fest, is the most happening fest of DU!
Placements: Big names like Barclays and KPMG have come here for placements and the placements of our college are just outstanding. So far, the highest package bagged at Miranda House is 24 LPA and the average for Political Science stands at 4 LPA. Apart from placements, our college has a dedicated cell that helps students in finding the right internships.
Infrastructure: Miranda House is the first choice of female students outside Delhi because it has a hostel. The seats are just 200, and there's a merit list for that too. Talking about college infrastructure, the British architecture is so evident in our college and the newly constructed Digital Source Centre complements that exceptionally well.
Faculty: Faculty members with the respective expertise and Ph.Ds in the same have been recruited by Miranda House. Many household names in teaching are faculty members at Miranda House. Their deep understanding of the subjects and the way they make us understand and simplify things for us have made them student's favourite go to people.
Other: The crowd here is outstanding and being a girls college, it gives us extra cushion to wear anything without any fear of judgement.

Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Many good companies offer campus internships, including highly rated ones. There is tough competition between students to grab the best opportunities. Both summer and winter internships are offered. Students are hired on the basis of their examinations and interviews.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi works well. Classes are neat and clean. The library is very large. All facilities provided in the college are top-notch. Even the canteen food is great. The water is chilled during summers. There are good seating areas around the campus. Everything is clean and hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and diligent. They coordinate with students for any kind of help they need. A person can look up to any teacher for help, and they will be there. Semester exams are a little to moderately tough. The things being taught in class come in very handy at that time.
