B.Voc. in Software Development - Batch of 2027
Offered by Ramanujan College, University of Delhi
3.6
College infrastructure is good and faculty is very good and friendly, but not a good campus life.
Placements: From my course a very few students got placement who had good academic career and had done internships. Currently I don't know about the packages they got. Recruiters like small companies come to college for placement like gillette guard etc. In my course the main role is of a software developed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the course is quite good. It has well-structured and maintained computer labs and a good internet connection. In the classroom, projectors are installed for better understanding of the topics, and there is also a library where the related books of my course are available. There is no hostel facility in our college or course.
Faculty: The faculty is very good. The professors are really helpful and friendly. Their teaching skills are quite nice. The course curriculum is a bit outdated, but our professors are trying to change the curriculum for the new batches. The exams are of average level, not too difficult; if you solve previous year questions, then you will easily pass the semester exam.
Other: I chose this college because I didn't get into any NIT or IIIT for B.Tech, so I chose this course. The best thing about this course is that it is 60 to 70 percent practical and 30 to 40 percent theory. The curriculum should change to the newest version. An annual cultural fest, Diwali mela, and some other fests are organized by the college. The campus crowd is very diverse, with students from many states and other countries. Connectivity is also good; the college is about 800 meters from the metro station. Scholarships are also provided by the college. Many societies exist for extracurricular activities.

Great infrastructure, crowd and faculty. Absolutely satisfied with JMC.
Placements: Around 80 percent of the students from the previous batch are placed. The highest package ranged from 6–7 LPA. Companies like ICICI Bank, Wipro, Godrej, Planet Park, KPMG, Taj Palace, and Marks & Spencer visited for roles such as sales development manager, operations head, Supply chain manager, store manager, and retail team leader. In my batch, almost 90 percent of the students have internships in fields like marketing, sales, HR, teaching, and graphic design.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel. The infrastructure of JMC is very well maintained and clean. The classrooms are equipped with all the basic facilities (board, projectors, benches and chairs). Though it doesn't have AC, the classrooms are well ventilated. In addition to that, JMC has 2 libraries containing books (academic and other domains), magazines, journals, etc. The library has AC and a good seating capacity with Wi-Fi facility. Other than that, JMC has a big auditorium, thevenet hall, an amphitheatre, an open gym, a paid gym with an instructor, and a sports ground.
Faculty: The teachers are approachable and really helpful. The students are offered a relevant course curriculum that is updated according to industry changes. The course offers knowledge about new tools and technology used in the retail landscape. The class lectures are interactive and detailed notes are provided. In addition to that, the teachers create a collaborative space for all the students to learn and upskill. The semester exams are not hard. Studying the class notes is more than enough to score well.

The college has very good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: A lot of students were placed in good companies. A student was placed at Accenture as well from my course itself. Other companies include H&M, Google, Godrej, Reliance, etc. My course is really good for management and business streams, and obviously, retail sectors.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel in my college. We don't currently have Wi-Fi facilities for students; however, the library is very big, covering two floors. The library is fully equipped with a search engine, all books of all courses, air-conditioned, and has proper staff.
Faculty: Teachers are very experienced and good. They are helpful at all times. The exams were slightly difficult because they were 80 marks, including 16 markers as well. My course is more practical, so it makes us more industry-ready for real-world exposure.
Other: Fest is really good.

    Q:   Is DU admission open?
    A:

Yes, DU admission 2026 is now open for several programmes. The university is now in the middle of conducting its admission process for UG & PG programmes. Students can check the Delhi University's official site to know about the CSAS dates.

Q:   Does Delhi University require Class 12 marks?
    A:

While minimum Class 12 are required, DU admissions are not based on a candidate's Class 12 performance. Instead, CUET UG score is the main selection criteria at DU. The higher CUET score, the better chances at top DU colleges. Hence, applicants have to meet the minimum eligibility of 40%-60% depending on the programme.

Q:   Can I get admission in Delhi University without CUET?
    3thumbs up
    A:

CUET UG is compulsory for admission in the affiliated colleges of University of Delhi for UG courses. Delhi University introduced admissions through CUET scores in 2024 for candidates who seek admission. Candidates will not be granted admission on the basis of merit of class 12th. However, there are some specific percentage criteria needed to appear for the CUET exam for class 12th candidates which is given below:

    • Students must have passed Class 12 or appeared in Class 12 from a recognized board in any stream to take admission to bachelor’s degree programmes in the central, state, private or deemed universities.
    • For the General category, the candidate needs to secure a minimum of 50% in Class 12; for SC/ST, candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% in Class 12 to be eligible for the CUET 2025. For BTch programmes, the minimum aggregate for the General category candidates is 45%, and that of the reserved category candidates is 40%.

Morever, candidates who wish to apply for Delhi University must have a valid score in CUET. Undergraduate courses including BCom, BTech, BA, BSc and more are offered by the affiliated colleges. Candidates can check the entire list of UG courses by clicking here. Also, to know the detailed analysis for Delhi University, stay tuned to this page

Q:   Can I select my colleges and courses preference under DU before DU seat allocation list is out for admission?
    A:

After the declaration of CUET (UG) results by NTA, the University of Delhi opened a preference-filling phase on its official website. Candidates are required to login on their CSAS (UG) dashboard to choose the courses they are willing to take admission if allocated. Candidates must give their preference for the course + college for every UG course selected by them.
For filling the preferences of course & college combinations in which they are willing to take admission, they must do the following:

    • Choose multiple course + college combinations (It is in the best interest of the candidate to fill the maximum number of preferences)
    • Take utmost care while selecting the course + college combinations as the order of selection will also determine the preference order.
    • Reorder the preferences to prioritize the preference order of course + college combinations
    • The submitted preference order will determine the allocation of seat

Candidate must confirm their order of preferences for the course + college combinations by clicking on 'Submit' cutton on/ before the last day of the preference-filling. It is important to note - Editing the course + college combination preference list after the deadline of preference-filling will not be allowed.

    On Admissions
Q:   Do I need 60% in Class 12 to get admission in DU?
    A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).

Q:   How will I be allocated a seat at DU via the CSAS allocation (CUET UG counselling process)?
    5thumbs up
    A:

For seat allocation at DU, students are required to lock their college and course preferences after the result is out. Delhi University will consider normalised scores provided by NTA to calculate the merit scores as per programme's eligibility. The highest possible preference will be provisionally allocated to the candidates considering the following points:

    • Course-Specific merit
    • Category of the students (UR/ OBC-NCL/ SC/ ST/ EWS/ Minority)
    • Seat Intake
    • Any other allocation rules, policies, or criteria citied by CSAS or University of Delhi
Q:   When will the DU admission form be out?
    A:

DU admission forms 2026 are now out for PG programmes. Students can check the official site of the Delhi University and apply online. CUET UG exam is still underway. Delhi University UG admission 2026 will start after CUET results are out and CSAS portal opens.

Q:   Can I get admission in DU without CUET?
    A:

Yes, it is possible to get in DU without CUET. However, this is not applicable for traditional regular UG courses. For most programmes, the university asks for CUET UG or CUET PG score. For courses, such as MBA and Law programmes, the university also considers other exams. Students can also join DU SOL, NCWEB using Class 12 marks and skipping CUET.

    A course India needs more.
Placements: Last year, about 70 percent of students in my course are placed. The highest package offered is 6 LPA and the average is 2 LPA. The top recruiting companies in my course are H&M, ZARA, Spencer's, etc. All these retail giants. About 100 percent of students got internships in my course thanks to the internship placement drive. Top roles are offered such as retail manager, project manager, etc.
Infrastructure: I believe that JMC has the best infrastructure in all of the DU circle. There are well-lit rooms, well air-conditioned spaces, and good seating space and canteen facilities. The ground is also massive, and there's lots of space to walk around and enjoy ample campus life. Overall, I really like my campus.
Faculty: The faculty is really expert and good for this course. They have an idea about what they are teaching, and I really like their teaching style. The semester exams are more logical-based and case study-based than the normal theoretical exams we are used to having, which is a nice change. However, not ample study material is available for this course.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted first-hand experience in management and the retail industry. The course is not very theoretical, and it provides great knowledge about the day-to-day working of retail. However, I just wish there is more study material for this course.

In love with the campus, campus life, and facilities. I am satisfied with everything overall.
Placements: I don't have much knowledge about placements that have happened over years, but teachers say that the college gets some really good companies and positions, not for all, but for some selective students. The highest package offered is 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: I love the infrastructure of my college. Personally, I think so far it's the best campus of DU college that I have seen. It is so peaceful as well. There is greenery everywhere. Classrooms are really big and airy. The ground is super big. The canteen food is nice too. Overall, the campus life is great.
Faculty: Faculty members are nice. The course curriculum can be a little better, but the rest is fine. Teachers are really helpful and sweet. They are quite knowledgeable. The teaching quality is great. I won't say that it makes the students industry-ready. I think no course can do that as it depends on the potential of students and skills they are learning.
Other: I chose this course particularly because of the college. But the course is nice too.

I am satisfied with the college, and the infrastructure facilities are also good.
Placements: In the past several well-known healthcare and related organisations have recruited students from the course including PSRI Hospital, BLK-Max Super Specialty Hospital, Medanta Artemis Hospital, Cloudnine Hospital, Primus Hospital, Quality Council of India, and Plan International GIST. The highest package is around 4 LPA-5 LPA, the lowest package is around 2 LPA-2.5 LPA, and the average package is approximately 3 LPA. Around 60-70 percent of students from the course got placed. The course focuses on hospital operations, patient care services, human resources, quality management, and healthcare administration along with mandatory industry exposure. Internship is mandatory for all students and 100 percent of students receive internship opportunities as part of the course curriculum.
Infrastructure: We have a healthcare lab specially for us. We don't have hostel facilities. Canteen food is good. Medical facilities are available. Sports and games facilities are also good. We have Wi-Fi in our college. Our classes are also good and we do have a big library.
Faculty: The teachers are all helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is also up to date. They are friendly and good-natured. No bias is there. The course curriculum is relevant if you don't wanna be in a rat race and want to try a unique course. The difficulty is at a moderate level. Most of them have strong academic backgrounds along with practical experience in the healthcare sector which helps in better understanding of real hospital scenarios. The teaching quality is good and includes classroom lectures, case studies, presentations, and discussions making learning interactive.

It has the best infrastructure and a good placement cell.
Placements: It all depends on the CUET course. The average placements are good. All the top hospitals, like Max and Fortis, hire students. Almost everyone gets placed here. Healthcare care managers at junior level and guest relation executive roles are offered here. We can further pursue an MBA in this field and don't think that field has low opportunities. Internships are being offered. We learn a lot from internships. The best part is that we don't have to struggle to find internships, as they are from the department.
Infrastructure: The library is available. The admin department is a bit slow, but the rest is good. The canteen is a bit small, but we will eventually fall in love with the campus and the environment. It has a good ground for sports.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful here. Exams are not that difficult, but not easy either. We need to prepare, especially for students with a commerce background. It offers different courses, and they are interesting.
Other: Every year, fests and sports fests are conducted.

Beyond books - The complete Ramanujan College experience.
Placements: The banking course at Ramanujan College, DU has a decent placement record with students placed in banks like ICICI, HDFC, and other financial firms. The placement cell organizes regular drives, offering opportunities in banking, finance, and related sectors.
Infrastructure: Campus is clean, green, equipped with smart classrooms, well-stocked library, computer labs, sports facilities, gym, and a vibrant canteen. The infrastructure is marvelous with new eco-friendly buildings, though hostel facilities are absent. Still, there might be inconvenience during summer without AC rooms in old buildings. But new building has fully air-conditioned rooms. There is also medical facility on the campus.
Faculty: It gives a well-structured banking course with experienced and supportive faculty members. The curriculum is practical and industry oriented, covering essential banking concepts. Exams are fair and designed to test both theoretical knowledge and practical application.
Other: It offers skill-based courses, that is my course too, courses with regular events, fests, and active student participation. The crowd is diverse and friendly, with good metro, bus and auto-rickshaw connectivity. However, for the PG Diploma programme, students are offered merit-based seats and do not require any entrance.

Yes, of course! You are eligible to be admitted to Delhi University via CUET despite gettng a re-test in either of your class exams as you have an option to appear for you compartment exam. Reappearing for a subject will not affect your eligibility criteria for CUET.
