Q:   What is the last date for DU admission 2026?

    A:

Delhi University admission 2026 are now closed for the UG programmes. The DU CSAS_UG counselling process is has now concluded.

    AskShikshaGPT on App
Q:   How to get a seat at Delhi University?
    A:

Candidates wishing to get admission in UG and PG courses at Delhi University have to qualify CUET exam. Applicants need to register and counsel through the university's Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal.

    AskShikshaGPT on App
Q:   Do I need 60% in Class 12 to get admission in DU?
    2thumbs up
    A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).

    AskShikshaGPT on App
Q:   What is DU CUET UG Counselling process?
    A:

Before the CUET counselling process for DU will even begin, it is necessary that aspirants opt for DU during CUET form filling and later apply on the CSAS portal to be eligible for admission. The admission process after CUET result declaration is explained below:

Step 1: After the declaration of the CUET UG exam, register on the DU CSAS portal in multiple phases.

Step 2: Submit College + Course combination preferences in the order of priority on the CSAS dashboard.

Step 3: The University has released the dates for three DU CSAS Seat Allocation Lists for all categories.

    • The "freeze" option in seat allocation for CSAS (DU) is to be selected by the students to confirm their admission choice to the allocated college and course at DU.
    • If candidates are happy with the assigned college and course, they can freeze the request through their dashboard.
    • Once they select this option, they will not be considered for "upgradation" of choice in further rounds of CSAS.
    • Candidates must only select this option only if they are satisfied with the allocated seat and want to take admission to this course & college
    • If they do not choose to upgrade or freeze your admission, their current status will be maintained.

Step 4: Once the candidate "Accept" the provisionally allocated seat, the concerned college will verify the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate online. The college has an option to 'Accept' or 'Reject' the admission of the student basis the verification.

Step 5: Once the DU-affiliated college accords the approval, candidates will have to pay the 'Admission Fee' to confirm their seat.

On the basis of the availability of seats due to rejections, cancellations, and withdrawals, DU may announce multiple allocation rounds. The University of Delhi will display the vacant seats on its admission website (admission.uod.ac.in) before every allocation round.

Overall, best college for MBA course.
Placements: More than 90% of students got placed every year from our college. The maximum salary offered by companies in India was 53 LPA, while the minimum salary offered was 12 LPA - 17 LPA. The recruitment companies for our college were Capgemini, Amazon, TCS, etc. Top jobs were accountant, auditor, etc. Most of the students got their internships.
Infrastructure: Our college had excellent infrastructure featuring modern classrooms and dormitories. There was rapid Wi-Fi access across the campus. The food at the mess was tasty, unlike at many colleges, and there were eateries and additional dining options. Nearly every sport was represented by programs on campus badminton, football, tennis, squash, cricket, volleyball, basketball, and table tennis. A hospital was also present.
Faculty: Our college had very qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive teachers, although the quality of teaching varied from teacher to teacher. The curriculum was rigorous and provided industry-relevant knowledge. But the proven benefits were based on electives and projects. Semester exams were difficult, requiring a deep understanding. The pass percentage was usually high but not guaranteed.

    My review about this college.
Placements: Placements and job opportunities were equal and good for everyone in the college. The placement in our course was around 80%. Placement was pretty good. All got placements. Deloitte, KPMG, Wipro, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Oyo, and Salesforce were the top recruiting companies. Mainly investment banking and consultancy firms visited our college for placements. The profiles were analytics, BFSI, marketing, finance, and economics. It all depended upon the capability of the individual. The highest package was INR 28 LPA. Average salary was INR 9 LPA. There were both summer and final placements offered on the campus.
Infrastructure: Separate hostel facilities and mess were available for boys and girls. Only vegetarian food was served 24 hours of water supply and electricity also. The environment was much better.
Faculty: Faculty members were good, understanding, reliable, and helpful in every way they could. They helped us shape our future. They were polite towards us and helped us understand the importance of social life so they came front and helped us students in that. There were 7 subjects in each semester. Each subject consisted of 100 marks which were further divided into internal (30%) and external (70%). Internals were totally in the hands of teaching faculty, and it was up to them how they wanted to allocate marks. The internals comprised various case studies, individual and group presentations, surprise tests, attendance, and class tests. Our curriculum was designed in such a way that it always motivated students to surpass their limits to nurture them as professionals. The course also provided us dual specialisation which we could choose between analytics, finance, and marketing. Faculty teaching methods were way too interesting. They not only taught us course knowledge but the industrial experience as well, by providing us with various case studies, examples by video and practical experiences.

    My review of this college.
Placements: Students are eligible for final placements in the third semester and summer placements in the first semester. We have many big names here on the campus like JP Morgan Chase and Co, Morgan Stanley, AON, ICICI Bank, Atomberg, Hindalco, Deloitte, KPIT, Samsung, etc. Almost all students get placed here and the percentage is above 90%. The highest package offered is more than 26 LPA and the average package is 14 LPa. I am currently an intern at a company via college placements. I am working towards getting a PPO. If I get one, I plan on staying in the same company.
Infrastructure: There are several postgraduate hostel facilities under Delhi University spread throughout the campus. Hostels are awarded on the basis of merit too and facilities are really good and cheap too. There are 24-hour canteens in almost all hostels. There is cheap transportation by DTC buses and Delhi metro.
Faculty: Faculty members are terrific. They are rated the highest in the RePec rankings for economics in India on the basis of high-quality research published in extremely prestigious peer-reviewed journals. Apart from the sheer, diversity of the courses the faculty is capable of offering, they are extremely friendly and approachable. It's really stimulating to have conversations with them and one can be sure to be wise and awed after each such conversation. There are 4 semesters of course exams with internals from time to time exams. The course is very much in the HR domain. All topics of HR are covered and students have the liberty to hone their own knowledge in the best possible way. Also, basics of finance marketing, etc., are also taught.

Various societies, such as NSCC and drama, help to develop students in various aspects.
Placements: Students are eligible for placements from the 7th semester. More than 250 companies visit the Sandip University for placements. The highest package offered in Sandip University is 1.12 crore per annum. The average package is 5 LPA. 90% of students get placed. After my degree, my plan is to work in the ethical hacking department.
Infrastructure: Various sports facilities are also available in the college, such as basketball and football.
Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:87 in my class. All other class strength is in the 70 to 85 range. A lot of strength is there in one class. As there is a lot of strength, professors are not approachable to every student. I like all the faculty members because they teach in an easy way. Exams are at an easy level, and it is easy to pass exams.
Other: Overall, the experience is amazing. We can get a lot of exposure towards various societies and clubs. We can be part of international societies like Encatus and national-level societies such as NSCC.

Infrastructure: There are big classrooms. There are many students per class. About 80-90 students are there per class. There is Wi-Fi connectivity, smart boards, etc. The food available in the mess is decent and affordable, with facilities and equipment for playing sports.

    About department of business economics.
Placements: Placements are really good compared to the fee. It is constantly improving. Arcesiuum, Citi Bank, ICICI Bank, and Dolat Capital are some of the companies that provide internship opportunities to students. Overall for the final placement, DBE has an average of 14.4 LPA.
Infrastructure: I am not a hosteller, so I can't say anything about that. The course structure is well-organised with core subjects in the 1st year and electives subjects in the 2nd year. It has a dual specialisation among marketing, finance, and analytics. You need to choose 2 among those 3 in the second year.
Faculty: Exams are semester-based, including assignments, projects, presentations, and written tests. The study includes theory as well as practical through case studies and projects. Current market situations are discussed in the classrooms. Faculty members are well-knowledgeable.
