Candidates need to apply online on the official website of Goa University for UG and PG programmes. The university shortlists candidates for PG programmes based on GU-ART conducted by the university. For MBA admission, the university accepts CMAT/ ATMA scores. For UG courses, the selection is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Candidates might need to come for personal interview round for some of the courses. The university releases its merit lists of the selected candidates for various courses. Shortlisted aspirants need to pay the programme fee to confirm their seat in the university.

Goa University conducts its entrance exam for some of the courses. These are GU-ART and GU-PET for PG and PhD programmes, respectively. The placement report is yet to be released for the Class of 2023. However, Goa University has released the NIRF report 2023 on its official website. According to the report,  77 PG 2-year and 39 PG 3-year students were placed during Goa University placements 2022.
