IPU MBBS Eligibility & Highlights 2025
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University offers a full-time MBBS programme of five-and-a-half-year duration which comprises one year of compulsory internship. All candidates interested in seeking MBBS admission at IPU need to possess a valid NEET UG score. The final seat allotment process is conducted via IPU CET Counselling. The maximum age limit to apply for MBBS admission is 25 years as of December 31 of the admission year, while the minimum age criteria is 17 years. (a relaxation of five years is granted to SC/ ST candidates). The total fee for MBBS programme is INR 24.64 lakh for 66 months. Yes, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University conducts a Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to BSc, BCA, BCom (Hons), B.Ed, BA (JMC), BHMCT, BBA, BA (Hons), BVoc, BPT, BPO, BOT, BASLP, BSc MLT, MSc, MA, MEd, MPT, MOT and MPO courses. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University's annual hostel cost is INR 29,500. Mess and welfare fees are not included in the hostel fees. The fee for the mess is INR 36,000, while the cost of the welfare is INR 3,000. Candidates need to submit three demand drafts: one for hostel fees, one for mess charges, and one for welfare charges. Two hostels are maintained on campus for male students, and two are maintained for female students. There are more than 180 single-seat rooms in each hostel. Basic furnishings such as a cot, mattress, pillow, chair, table, cupboard, tube lamp, and fan are provided in each room. Mess facilities are available for residents in each hostel. Residents also have access to a common area, a gym, a reading room, and sports facilities. For the hostels, there is a provision for 24-hour water and electrical services.
IPU MBBS Admission 2025: How to Apply?
The IP University application process is as given below. Those seeking admission can apply online by paying an application fee of INR 1,200. See the steps below to apply online:
- Visit website of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University at www.ipu.ac.in and click on the 'Admission' tab and further click on 'Online Admission Form' from the drag-down menu.
- Read the instructions carefully, accept the declaration and click on 'Start' to proceed with the registration step of the application process.
- Select MBBS from the programme drop-down menu and register with candidate's name, email ID and contact number. Further, click on 'Non-CET' courses because MBBS comes under the 'Non-CET' category courses.
- Candidates will receive an application sequence number, user ID and password for future logins and a link to the application form to proceed with further steps.
- In the first stage of the application form, enter personal details, such as name, parents' name, age, nationality, etc. Also, enter the present address information along with the permanent address.
- Fill in the essential qualification details, including the year of passing and the school/ institution attended.
- Upload the required set of documents and pay the prescribed application fee via debit card/ credit card/ net banking.

GGSIPU has given weightage to both theory and practical UG and PG courses. Students need to secure a minimum of 75% in semester theory exam for UG courses and 60% for PG programmes. For practical, students need to secure a minimum of 60%. A student must pass both theory and practical examination to pass the semester. Students who fail the internal exam are required to re-appear in the previous semester examination to obtain sufficient credits to be promoted to the next academic year.
Most of the GGSIPU course admissions are based on entrance test scores. GGSIPU usually don't provide any scope of direct admission to the students. Students must clear the entrance examinations to get admission to the available programmes.
Yes, GGSIPU accepts CUET scores. For UG courses, CUET-UG and similarly for the PG courses, CUET-PG is applicable. However, it must be noted that preference is given to CUET scores after the respective national-level exams and the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the university. Some of the UG and PG programmes for which this entrance score is accepted are MCA, MA, BSc, BBA and allied programmes, BPharm, BCom (Hons), etc.
To get admission to MD course at GGSIPU, candidate must have attained a valid rank in NEET PG. If you belong to the General AI category, then you can get admission to the college if your rank is below 60874. The last round closing rak=nks for different MD specialisations varied between 25 and 60874.

To get IPU (main campus- USLLS and VIPS) you need to have a total score of atleast 470 out of 650. And admission in IPU through cuet happens only after the CLAT rounds are over, so you must wait till the spot rounds.
