IPU CET 2026 exam will be conducted for admission in various UG, PG, and PhD programmes in the university. Therefore, IPU CET Syllabus 2026 for each course is different. To get admission for BTech Lateral Entry at IP University candidates must appear for IPU CET. Lateral entry to BTech course is permitted for candidates with a Diploma or BSc Degree. For Diploma holders the IPU CET exam code is 128. For BSc Degree holders the IPU CET exam code is 129. The candidates should check the syllabus for the exam and prepare accordingly.
If candidates have objections related to IPU CET 2026 questions or answer options, they can only submit them through an online "Objection Link" provided on GGSIPU website. Details regarding this link will be communicated to all candidates who have attended online examination via their registered email IDs and mobile alerts. Candidate will receive User ID and Password for IPU CET Computer Based Test (CBT). They will receive it 10 minutes before examination starts. Candidates must enter Login ID and Password provided at examination centre to open Computer Based Test. Candidates must check name and photograph displayed on computer screen are correct.
The topics included for IPU CET BTech (Biotechnology) are Physics - 20%, Chemistry - 20% Mathematics - 20% Biology - 40% or Biotechnology - 40%.
Exam Pattern of IPU CET Syllabus
Students must go through the IPU CET Syllabus 2026 for a better understanding of exam pattern. According to the IPU CET Exam Pattern 2026, the exam is held via online CBT mode for 2 hours & 30 minutes. The question paper will be in English. There will be a total of 100 multiple-choice questions, wherein 4 response choices will be given for each question. the total marks of exam are 400. Students will be given 4 marks for every correct answer & -1 mark will be deducted for each of the wrong answers. For un-attempted questions, no negative marking will be applicable.
