Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, also known as HITS, was established in 1985 and is located in Kelambakkan, Chennai. It is a member of AIU and is accredited by the IAO, NBA,  and NAAC with an 'A' Grade. Further, it is a deemed-to-be University and is recognised by the UGC. The minimum eligibility criteria for the same is to either get a Diploma with minimum 50% aggregate in the branch of Engineering/ Technology from the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu or graduate with minimum 50% aggregate in Science and Mathematics as one of the main subject. The candidate should fall in the age group from 19 to 22 years.
